At the risk of everyone thinking im stupid.. Lol the netting you have over your plants.. When do you put that on it? And what exactly does it do? Ive seen lots of pics that have it on their plants and i was just wondering what it does and how would i know when i should put it over my plantsI have a qb 260 in that size tent, personality I think it’s the right size and the perfect amount of light.View attachment 4234624
Ok thanksSearch "scrog" methods.
There are a few hybrid builds like the one you are thinking of. I can't remember the names of the threads they are ,but they are here in the led forum. Lol there may be some in this thread, further back. I've seen some in the "show us your builds" thread.Hey, any of you guys mix qbs and cobs on a single light fixture?
I have 8 citizen1212 cobs and i was thinking of combining them with a few qboards. Maybe the qbs in the middle with the cobs going around them.
I have no idea what boards or drivers to use, if i need a heatsink, will i be able to have the new boards at the same level above canopy as the cobs?
Any help would be great
I am about to build a mix cob and QB for my 5x5. I am going to run 2. 288 3000k in the middle and run like 10 cobs on the outer area. I am going to run the QBs on a hlg-240-1400b as for my cob layout. I might run 2 hlg-240-1050-b in series because I have 50volt cobs. I haven'e settled on anything for sure because I am also going to add 2 uva-uvb t5 in the frame. It is going to be kinda crazy. I will post a picture after I get it done.Hey, any of you guys mix qbs and cobs on a single light fixture?

I swear by Phresh. Granted, I have not tried any others so there may be no difference. But here is what I do know:Phresh filters.
Look at them reaching up to their god...sexy!Added some strips to the 2x4
Should be around 400 watts total now
Noted. But I am not sure why I am quoted. I know the difference between just a trellis and a real scrog.
Not sure why this is being discussed but I will stand by Phresh for ever. I have a 10" X 24" on a 6" fan using reducers. I've used cling wrap, that sticks right onto anything it's like saran wrap to wrap the entire bottom HALF of the filter and taped the top and bottom of the wrap around and also where the edge ends. Put the filter sock on again and pulling through only half of the filter so far for 6 months, ita still KICKING ASS. I can't believe it. But the best part is if and when it runs out, I have the entire bottom half, un touched. A brand new filter. I taped the bottom half purposely first so air flow wouldn't pass through the bottom and then the top as well had I taped the top first. Taping the bottom completely separates any air from going through any of that carbon.I swear by Phresh. Granted, I have not tried any others so there may be no difference. But here is what I do know:
My big phresh filter has lasted me thru all of my experiments which began in 2014. I stopped growing in 2016 yet kept the filter and exhaust running 24/7 ( i store other things in my room that are sensitive to humidity). I resumed growing this summer and the thing is still kicking ass.
You're talking about un riveting the top of a carbon filter and emptying it out to refill with new carbon? Cause of that's the case, you're so wrong.Lots of $ to be saved by refilling air filters. Works exactly like brand new. Been doing this for years. Such a waste of good screens and fittings which will last forever on any name brand filter.
Really? The hydro shop near me makes their own carbon and water filters I'm pretty sure it's a simple process have you tried it or are you just making assumptions? You're talking about un riveting the top of a carbon filter and emptying it out to refill with new carbon? I've thought about doing this, as I have probably ridded myself of 8 -10 filters over the years. I'm always dissuaded by the internet saying it won't work. Or it isn't feasible because the filters won't be as efficient by not using the holy grail virgin charcoal brought down the mountains by secret elves and using pet store charcoal.Lots of $ to be saved by refilling air filters. It's partially carbon quality by mainly packing it super tight. If you left any large gap in your re pack, you'd have allege air going through it rather than the rest of the filter.I've thought about doing this, as I have probably ridded myself of 8 -10 filters over the years. I have seen people say it definitely does work. Being in a red state I couldn't chance my scrubber not getting rid of odors.
