I think those would work just fine. That looks awesome man! I will just be using the HLG heat sinks, and you did a great job.
I'm thinking of going 5 across, 2x2Qb648 with another 1xQB648 right in the middle using the existing 120-54A I have for both the Bspec and the 648. Of course, nothing is in stock. I would also put a few T5 UVs along each side of the row of lights to make it. I wonder if two staggered 24" ones would work because two four footers seems like overkill in this space.
It looks like the fV range for the 120-54A is within both types of board operating parameters and can be adjusted with the V pot....although, that would only give me a few inches clearance from the walls on each side (600mm+340mm+600mm=1540, I've got about 1700mm space across to work with, so that's inches on each side from the walls). Running five at 100 watts each instead of 4 at 125 to achieve about 36w/sqf(I've got just under 14sqf). I am remote mounting the drivers outside of the room. I have a 240CFM register dual fan I installed in a vent at the very top of the closet which should be adequate for a 110 cubic foot room.
Anyway, what do you guys think?
No, thank you! That thumbscrew looks exactly like what I need. I really appreciate it!Thanks! Unfortunately the rest of your questions are beyond my skill and experience level so I cant be much help there.
You actually wanna pull the air down from too into the fins. They channel the heat out and off.I was reading about fan cooling stuff. What do you think about this product to put on top of a 600mm Slate 2? I am assuming with the fins you want to draw air up but with the pins you want to blow it down? Anyway, take a look, this looks like it could be a good choice if you want to blast 2 QB648s at 160w each.

Its ambient air temp. It's a lot less hot than the air on the heatsinks! I posted about this a few days back for someone asking the same thing. I linked 3-4 peoples posts from all different threads corroborating what I'm saying. The only problem I’d have with pulling air down is that air will be hot air from top of the tent. Seems like you’d want to pull heat off the sink and move it away from the heat source moving it to the top of the tent where it can be exhausted.
Fuck all that, just buy the cheapest fans you can find on eBay for like $3-$10... AC Infinity is all hype. They're nothing more than these. Which I own and absolutely fuckin love. 1/4-1/3 the price.I now think that ambient air forced against something at a higher rate is more effective than ambient air pulling through something. AC Infinity sells dual 120mm AC fans for like $25. Two of those on a 600mm heat sink, one directly over each board would be great. I'm sure the 140mm fan would work wonders as well. Thanks for helping me Airwalker.

I think you posted something different than what you meant. Those are inline duct fans for $32 and weigh 4lbs. I think you meant a cheap computer fan type setup.Fuck all that, just buy the cheapest fans you can find on eBay for like $3-$10... AC Infinity is all hype. They're nothing more than these. No, just showing you the difference in price between their axial fans at $100+ and these that work as good or better. If you're trying to cool the tent, then pull more air from the top with exhaust. It's that simple. If you're using a 4" ,get a 6". Or if it's turned down more than half, turn it up.There’s more to consider than just cooling the heatsink, I’m trying to cool the space in general.
When I get my setup finished I’m going to try the Fans both ways with a laser temp gun. That’ll settle it for me. I’ll post back my finding one way or the other.

You can't even hear them. And they sell them elsewhere on eBay but most the time they're the model with a speed controller built onto the cord. I have plenty of speed controllers lyin around so I got this model. Its cheaper without it too. But you can browse and find something I'm sure I can say they were ALL out of stock, YESTERDAY so they might be getting 6"s soon? The price on those looks really good! Have you used the AC ones and can say its just as quiet? I was gonna upgrade my closet to a 6" and use my 4" for a new cabinet im building but if you say these are nice and quiet im willing to try them. Looks like they are sold out of 6" atm tho on Ebay. Do they sell them anywhere else?
I like the AC infinity display being able to just glance at it from across the room but the controller is kind of dumb anyway tbh. Id rather save the $ and just buy another SensorPush like I use in veg.
What kits? Are all of the kits/lamps sold out now?
