I have a question. Let's say I have 2 boards 1 in 3k and the other in 5k...... If I place enough LEDs on each respective board to achieve a theoretical efficiency of 2.7 umol/j will they run the same temperature at the same wattage ? If not why?

If they are both driven at the same wattage and have the same efficiency, they would have to put the same heat out correct? Like each individual diode may differ between the spectrum, but total (making all 2.7 umol/j) would mean both boards would be the same temp with a different amount of diodes.I have a question. HLG has lux to ppf conversions on their site for most of their boards, but not for the diablo or bspec yet. I asked here if anybody had the conversion factor, but nothing yet.My first post lol what the best height to run 2 Diablo boards
I like running my drivers dimmed down a bit, just so they aren't as hot and (in my mind) last longer. I also use 2x as many quantum boards as are suggested for my area because they are more efficient when they're dimmed down because they run cooler.Hey hows it going. I just purchased a qb 288 b-spec for my veg cabinet. The cabinet is 2'x4'x4', but I'm thinking of splitting it up into a 2x2 veg cabinet, and a 2x2 cabinet for my supplies and tools. I havent been able to find much information on HLG's website specifically pertaining to the b-spec. There is a page specifically for the r-spec. Can I use the specifications for the r-spec to determine the appropriate driver I need? If so, my options are the HLG-80/100/120H-54.
I'm sorry for such a long winded question. I just built my first light with 4 qb 120's, but there was so much information out there I was able to find plenty of references. But this seems like a relatively new light, and I want to make sure I pick the best option for my current situation. Do you guys like running your drivers pretty close to the max wattage you are using, or get a slightly larger driver and dial it down? With the hlg-120 I would still need to run a heat sink at half power, but the 100 would be pretty close to right on the money. I guess my biggest question is how many watts do you think I'll need for a 2x2 veg cabinet. Flowering I've read somewhere between 30-35'ish, but I'm not sure for veg.
Thanks for all the help, if this question has been answered please forgive me and point me in the direction of that information.
You can just mount that inside a junction boxWhat is a better dimmer I can buy? I got these 100k knobs but nothing to house them in, I don't want to use these.... Is there something like what comes with the hlg kits that has housing.
