20170310_203126.jpg Day 40 @12hrs. Cherry pie. 4 quantums running on a HLG 320-2800A, turned down to 330Watts@ wall, might be a bit much! 24" above plants, time to lower light, a bit, and drop back to 300W, learning curve! First time scrogging. Small foot print, light railings are 34"×44", and screen is 3'×3'

Yeah, I got two of the 54v boards. Specs say a 2800 to get close to 140 watts.

But my question is can these be cut down the middle to make 2 boards out of 1? I have a 3x3 tent, and 4 boards will be easier to space then 2.

They have 2 + and 2 - connectors on each board, so it looks like they can be cut with no issues....

Fair point. As close to that as possible, then, with the option to dim down to ~90w/board. I recall @robincnn saying that was the sweet spot for the 304s on the @Growmau5 chat video.
With 3 54v boards you may need 2 drivers. Doing them in pairs Ill use
HLG-240H-C2100B
And
HLG-320H-C2800B is about max for 2 QB and heavier heat sink

Yes you can cut QB288 in center along red line.
but voids all warranty

Back to about 108v or it needs to be tested?
Don't cut it in half please :)
If you do want to proceed. I will need more info about driver and number of boards to calculate voltage for you.
If you cut QB288 in half the voltage will remain around 50V-56V, depends on driver current.
QB288 is 18x16, when you cut in along the line i told you then it will become 2 pcs 18x8
18 remains constant and this is what determines the voltage.... mostly....... then there is drive current tooo

Sorry all DIY Board stock is sold.
I apologize for those who missed this small batch.

Steve and I are working hard to ensure we will have plenty of boards and heatsinks soon.
There will be cool blue color heatsinks, new Slate 3 design , more slate 2 doubles and lots of cool stuff to make up for the delays
Small batches will be announced in this RIU thread.
for lager batches you will receive an email if you have entered you email ID here
