I'm contemplating getting two more of the V1 boards, actually... If I get to them before they sell out, that is. Planning a new, smaller tent, and although I'd really like to try the added 660nm in the new boards, the price of the old ones is just too good to resist. Besides, I've been very happy with the now-venerable 561c in straight 3000k, so I'm not too bothered about giving up the reds. I will probably add a 660nm QB11 to one of my QB120 fixtures at some point, just to see what all the to-do is about.i cant see them ever dying haha!
Awesome thanks for your presence.Captain Started a grow. I am making a lamp to test in my tent. NaplamD may be testing these in a 2x2.5 soon.
Sorry to hear about your lack of knowledge of LED. Its Samsung LED calculator, not some emissions claim from VW
Give things time to breathe and spawn. I cannot make a lamp and prove it is best lamp ever. Plants take a few weeks too grow.
Lets wait and see for results if you are not convinced. Enjoy the ride. It will be fun.
I apologise for me misunderstanding what you wrote and for my tone and choice of words.Really the greedy middle men to me are the local grow shop owners, they mark everything up quite a lot, and the local growers just buy it. I save a ton by buying off amazon, but it’s sort of an ethical dilemma of its own. I wasn’t implying hlg was a middle man.
I buy stuff like soil and local formulated nutes but pretty much all my equipment is made in China anyway, spending like 230$ on a 120$ 400w hps is silly
at those prices you cant go wrong, man. im yet to use any added 660 either...have you thought about adding UV?I'm contemplating getting two more of the V1 boards, actually... Yeah, I've thought about it, but I think I'll wait until there's a good, affordable DIY LED option, because the way my lights are set up, I can't easily integrate floros. And everyone has been more than happy with the weed coming out from under straight 3000k, so I don't feel too rushed to try enhancements right now!at those prices you cant go wrong, man. im yet to use any added 660 either...have you thought about adding UV?

I wanna build a r-spec board. Would a sheet of aluminum 24inx24in 1/4in thick work for running 4 qb288 with a hlg 480h-c2100a
1/4" thick?!? Jesus Christ. That'll do the fucking trick just fine n' dandy there, won't it now?I wanna build a r-spec board. Would a sheet of aluminum 24inx24in 1/4in thick work for running 4 qb288 with a hlg 480h-c2100a
Buy a meter for $12 and you won't have that issue: https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Electricity-Analyzer-Monitoring-Equipment/dp/B07M8JKLG5I can’t prove the “actual draw”
did you see any of Or Grows UV stuff? most of it was on another forum, he did a really good 3 way side by sideYeah, I've thought about it, but I think I'll wait until there's a good, affordable DIY LED option, because the way my lights are set up, I can't easily integrate floros. no problems w my V1 and I am about 2 years. Aren't they like 5% less efficient than v2. I wish I had more space and I would buy more V1. Imagine the cost of a diy 550 these days.. Like 250 usd w driver. Too bad for Canadians as the minimal shipping cost seems to be about 40 usd.
Use the "RIU10" discount code on HLG's site and it should offset shipping.I’m thinking a v1 135 may be my least expensive way to see what I think of boards in general. And have a high quality light to boot. I will have to check shipping and also overcome my natural tight wad nature.
