DIY with Quantum Boards

I have some boards that are new in the box still. Think I'll have to check each individually asap now.

Well ... finally put up new tent ( bought like 3 months ago ) ( vivosun ) .
I reinstalled one of my original rigs .... running quad QB 304 V1 ( circa 2015 ) 3500k boards with the dual COB citizen 3500k .
I wanted to highlight the longevity of the original Quantums , going on 6 years . It still is bright as fuck and no dimmed diodes or any kind of hardware issues. Right now it is pulling seedling duty ( KKP - King Kong Poison ).
That Hazeman seed run is from my own “ Selfing experiment “ using a female with CS on lower branches making female balls then letting it knock up itself. Ended up with a shitload , and these are from that run. They are all pretty strong offspring from that experiment. And I don’t need to buy seeds. Thinking about pulling 2 of those cups - same age - CS one then use that to
pollinate the other to further work the strain. It has a heavy danky sweet perfume and throws Purp phenos constantly.
PLUS ..... I could use that pollinating solo cup to knock up maybe a Blueberry or Blue Dream.
The Quantums will pull seed making duty again as I do other strains to keep stock. Strawberry Diesel ( Hazeman ) is the next to get more of those.
Thanks @Stephenj37826 for making such dependable gear. Hard to believe after heavy perpetual use since I bought them in 2015 , they are running strong. QB 96 / Sunblaster rig will come back into play shortly , and looking at another 3x3 for the HLG225 .

Good to see you back! My old QB 304s are coming down soon. Being replaced with Diablos. I have a Diablo based light in my other 4x4 tent also. will probably send 2 of the 304s to my small tent. Might donate the other two 304s to a friend who needs to grow.

Your friend will definitely be happy with those .... I really still like those OG’s ( lol ) they still bring the goods . I was thinking about Diablo but I literally have a shitload of boards I have yet to configure / hang. I literally store them in a padded suitcase . And that’s not even counting the QB96 / Sunblaster UV “ warp core “ rig I built awhile back too and that HLG 225.
Big problem when kids that left home , then returned because of economy and taking back a full room I used to use ...... * grumbles
Even got a Spider Farmer to “ test “ .... they offered probably lurked my stuff.
Its like crack ” trying “ not to pull trigger on new gear .... I purposely stay off website because of it ... lol.
Always like seeing what you and the other quantum crew members are up to in your grows.
Decided to pop some Nirvana AK48’s ( never ran strain ) - only got 2 seeds ( so they are gonna make me some more seeds also ! )

Ill be sticking with these Diablos, I spent a ton of me on these ( well, it was a lot for me.. ). I'm getting more than twice to light at the same power consumption. Plus the built in deep red. The 304s were and are still, a great board. And.....lol I have new spares! May ebay them and spend that on other upgrades!

I keep them because of them being the first offering put by HLG ( like a classic car ) .... you know ... the time BEFORE all the clone boards ( however I did have atrium ) . I don’t know if you guys remember , I still have those ( 630-660nm G8 ) lamps that I used to supplement those 304’s with for “ added bloom “ and those I like a lot , so upgrading to newer QB can wait ...
Besides , they seem to brew up new things all the time and maybe there will be something really special coming ....

HLG has always treated me nicely over the years with proto boards ( 90 cri ) and support .... never had an issue as a company.
Here is that G8 working along the 304 rig ( old grow ) ... love thos lamps.
Besides , they seem to brew up new things all the time and maybe there will be something really special coming ....

Old faithful ( OG 304 boards ) are still buzzing along. I have begun some mainline/ hub on these plants .
2 under original method and 2 running a quad . Quantums are doing just as well as they were 6 years ago.
Plants are under a new layered dry fert mix I am testing and so far the color of them is fantastic.
KKP regular photos under 18/6 . I plan to continue “ shaping “ of plants as weeks go on , topped twice already. The 2 on left will be shaped for 8 colas with the quads getting another topping a little later. I did another adjustment last night and they bounced back today nicely.

These were some older stock - did a presoak ( rooters ) in water and clonex liquid ( gold color ) 8 drops in water glass. Squeezed and filled rooters while in solution - then light squeeze to release excess then into dome tray under a flouro lamp.
They will go into solo cups probably in a day or two.

OG 304 V1 boards - 3500k
Adjusted Mainlining today on them and seems all is well. Power is dimmed to 320w together with cobs. I think I will leave it there until actual bloom before mashing gas . Recipe 420 blend with dry fertilizer/ EWC / pumice. Tap / Zero water mix.

Personally I'd go for a HLG-240H-36A and run them in parallel.
