This is Dj Short's F-13. Plants are approximately 4 weeks in veg. now. They will be topped for mother backup cuts and placed into flower in the next several days.

This plant topped itself. I've never seen this before. The main stem split into two.
Twins maybe?

Overfeeding maybe?

And this is what happens when you get anxious and go rooting around in the soil for the seedling before it has come up on its own. This seedling was dug up and exposed to light prematurely and as a result it looped over itself in an attempt to get back into the soil and j-rooted.

I've had plants top themselves like that before. Freak occurrences. You never know what you are gonna see.

Looking good, can't wait to see some buds on these and see what turns out.

I've also seen self topping plants. The C99 I have right now doesn't exactly do it regularly, but it seems to do it every few nodes.

Does anyone think that the self topping (vigor?) may have been induced by overfeeding?

I don't. My C99 was in great health. The prior plants I've seen do it were in good health too. Real living organic soil. No overfeeding. I think it's simply a recessive genetic trait. Not a bad one either really for our purposes.

I had one Durga Mata "top itself" in early flowering, but I lost track of her when everything exploded into a jungle :weed:

Cloned and transplanted. Placed under 400 watt sodium lights.
Transplanted into 2 gallon pots using Down To Earth Pro. Organic mix with perlite added and diatomaceous earth.
Using Age Old Organics Grow for veg fertilizer (12-6-6). And liquid seaweed (0-0-1) and a vitamin B1 compound called Thrive Alive (0-0-1).
I will soon switch over to the Age Old Bloom feed (5-10-5) and supplement with liquid bone meal and sugars.
Plants were under an 8 bank T-5 light fixture @ 18 on and 6 off and are now transitioning through 14 on 10 off. After several days @ 14 on 10 off I will switch to 12 on 12 off. I got lucky with the ladies this time and have ended up with 9 females so far, 2 males and 2 undetermined.

While cloning I came across plant #11. It has almost perfect nodal spacing and awesome structure. It is a female. Many of the F-13 had this perfect nodal spacing and great structure conducive for flower growth. But plant #11 was different. It reeks of lime. Not lemon, lime. Almost leaning towards the sweet spice but an obvious lime.

/ Jd, can I veg the FLO full season outdoors, and still keep her under 4' tall? I have to grow ~stealth~ in my area.

One of my blue lime pies, a kens kush and one of my blue rhino x c99 topped themselves this time, hadn't seen it before now. It may be nute related for me, this is the first time ive fed nutes from the first sprout...

Im pretty certain this vigor was induced by my feeding regiment. Not necessarily 'over-feeding' per say, but induced by the amount and type of feed.

Power failure.
Plants without light and heat for almost 40 hours.
Experiencing slight shock.
Back-up clones struggling to bounce back.

Yeah I'm the same, I only feed 1/4 strength but it's the first time I've fed from sprout, I usually give them a week with just rhyzotonic. Interesting though!

Everything is responding well. Power failure was fixed easier than I thought.
Back-up clones look nice. Will upload some pics soon, I don't wanna watch a pot of water boil, ya know?
