the bud you posted picture of looks like diesel crossed into it and not like the original og18 that wasnt piney or diesel it was straight skunk spray. i found similar diesel like plants in packs i ran also when I was looking for that RKS like og18.

I just remembered...the closest thing to the newer og18 packs I ran was from Dr Greenthumb, chem #4. They were almost identical from what I remember.

Chem 4 was only thing I ever ran from him. They were like $150 a pack and weren't good, had many complaints on potency. I remember I had some mid flower(6fters) and I just chopped them all after reviews came in. Can't put out low grade. Just did similar with a cookie wreck but it was only 3ft in veg, smelled good but no taste and mid level potency so I chopped it down.

Maybe, all the stuff from the 90's is outdated now? I was looking at Mr. Nice seeds, but I feel like there are new strains that are probably better. Ended up buying my 1st Dynasty seed packs.

People definitely like pretty looking flowers now, I get some complaints on my silver haze x Chemmy Jones I run since it's not the tight beauty pagent flowers like cookies, gelato, and sherberts. My headbanger is sorta ugly but luckly it's tasty and potent or people would turn there nose to it. Last thing I ran from Mr Nice was medicine man when I was looking for a white Russian that had any resemblence to the Joey weed version that was sweet rasberry badass but out of 12 females found nothing worth keeping.

Gonna grow cannabis now till I die and keep my families heritage slamming! I just had a 72 yr old dude get out of a correctional facility and remind me that me and my wife's family used to control the majority of grass and other party favors that ran through our area, now we have out of staters up here ripping folks off! I've got to change this! Polar opposite of what we are about as a community here is ripping neighbors off over cannabis especially! The notch a mere 4 miles from the farm I grew up on is called smuggler notch for a good reason! Sometimes folks get offended when they are met with mindsets that are based in commen sense! I'm on a mission to create an environment in my area where it's like it used to be. Might be harder than I anticipate. Time will tell!
Hey guys! I'm looking for the best og kush style strain in feminised seed form, came across this topic (looking for info on Crokket's lemon 18 actually!) and thought I could chip in my 2 cents.
I have grown 21 seeds of og18 in 2014, from at least 4 different seed packs bought between 2013 and 2014 at different sources (from the DNA shop in Amsterdam directly, and online from different websites). ALL 21 turned out to be among the best of the best I have ever smoked. I grew in soil and hydro, under the blue/purple led lights and (important!) flower 80 days with more than 20 days flush in hydro - for me it needed exactly 6 weeks cure for the TRUE DANK smell/flavor to come out. BTW yields were the lowest I ever had below half of my average, at only around 200g/m2!
I have been to dispensaries in Cali (only like 15 different ones, in 2018, just by looking up on google which were supposedly the best, and bought only their top shelf), and to at least half the coffee shops in the Netherlands. Needless to say the Cali top shelf is better by a long shot! I haven't attended any competitions in Cali so definitely haven't smoked the best of the best and I'm no expert. Anyway the homegrown og18 is the best I have smoked - made me not want to smoke anything else that I grew and 1g would last me longer than 3g of my other stuff (i had some pretty nice tangerine kush but too much wood flavor for my liking, and a bunch a nice haze strains amongst others).
A way of telling it was good is that with bong hits an immense flavor would come through (most stuff i tried has near to no flavor in a bong, at least no nice flavor to me!), it was delicious, would make me want to take hits so fat that they would knock me out for 6h straight, the taste was borderline addictive to me. The effect came on with a strong rush, loads of euphoria and fast 'motivating day dreams', it would make me want to share it with everyone!
> This also got me into trouble, basically, all the neighbors complained about the smell and were pretty annoyed so I had to calm down with smoking indoors. I had been living there for years already and never any complaints prior - and always try to smoke the smelliest stuff I can get!
Now that I can finally grow again, reading about og18 seeds not being good anymore makes me very sad.
--> I am currently growing RP og kush, and will try the Crokket's SSOG and lemon 18 soon hoping to find a killer pheno! I will probably try og18 again soon, I already invested in a 20x overspec carbon filter so this time I'm prepared XD

OG18 Was one of the best OG's I've grown in seed form...Straight up dank!!!! Piney, lemony, earthy, and the high was real nice...Damn, I miss that cut
