DNA Genetics Kosher Sorbet - Waterfarms Grow

It's been quite a while I have done anything on here but I am back with some more waterfarm action. If any of you have seen my previous journals I am usually confined to cupboard space... This time I have a 2.4 x 1.2 x 2m tent and I run 2 x 315W Phillips CMH lights and a 400w HPS central. I will be growing DNA Genetics Kosher Sorbet, which is a pretty new strain. I am a BIG fan of Kosher Kush so I hold high hopes.



I will be starting them under CFL and moving them under T5 after in my smaller veg tent while they get going. I have 3 Big Buddha Cheese plants in coco medium in the flower tent at the mo which are looking nice so far:

First Update: 2 of the 3 seeds have germinated/popped.. I actually only need 2 so if the 3rd is a duff or really far behind - it is not the end of the world (Do kind of expect 100% germination at 13.50€ a seed though! So let's see just for the sake of it! hehe). Anyway, the 2 seeds that had popped, had a tap root hit the bottom of the rock wool cubes today, so it was time for transplant and an update:



I am running straight RO water PH'd to 5.4-5.6. No nutrients for first 7-10 days, then I will start a Lucas formula - 3 part General Hydroponics feed at a low feed (0.4EC/250 PPM ish). As a side note: I generally find Cal Mag is only to hand for deficiencies - I try not to use it as the GHE food has plenty when it comes in and less nutrients in Waterfarms/DWC, the better.. But its subjective to strains!

Niiice! What sorbet crosses did you go for? I do want to try the one crossed with Gorilla Glue if these 2/3 come off well... I read somewhere it is one of the strongest strains/seeds DNA Genetics offer now! If you decide to start a journal, drop me a link

Ok it's been around 9/10 days since germination so I have changed the reservoirs on the waterfarms and added some nutes. As mentioned I will be using General Hydroponics Flora series, that being the 3 part grow, micro and bloom. I have added equal parts of all 3 and also a half strength dosage of 'Growth Technology Liquid Silicon' - as I have had fantastic results using that in the past with hydro.

I have covered the pots with Kitchen Foil, this is to stop any salt buildup around the drip ring. Mylar is nicer as it also reflects nearly all the light back up on the underside but I don't have any so foil it was! That's about it really.. There are a couple of root tips coming through into the lower res, so once they are submerged into the oxygenated solution - expect take off and vigorous growth! haha

My Big Buddha Cheese in the flower tent is coming into week 4 and defoliated - so starting to bud up nicely, as something a bit more exciting to show:
