DNA Genetics LA Woman Feminized

Thanks guys... I was about to give up smoking! yeah right! ha!

The 2 I started last week are clones from this plant as it was flowering, so it won't be a good comparison but I wanted to see how she did when she bushed out. My past experiences with reveg clones has been that I get mostly popcorn but we'll see how these do. I'll definitely do a trim in a week or two once the stretch starts to try to maintain a little bud size.

I never nailed it down as coffee, but ya and it is the most predominant odour I think it is actually a haze influence that produces that smell. I meant his pheno of LAW look like it leaned towards the LA in structure, also the same terpines can be produced by any number of strains. I made F2's of my LA Con and most of them smelled like straight coffee and the LA is a pure indica no haze anywhere in it. Haze is known for it's spicey dank smells and tastes and not so much coffee.

My LAW nice smoke very small yield only 35g tastes of oranges no not the strongest of smokes but very pleasant all the same my overall score on this strain would be 4/10 (only 1 plant of this strain grown ) would i grow this strain again? probably not but don't let that put you off if you fancy it give it a try you might get a pheno you like

I keep seeing conflicting posts about the LA W. A good half of the persons say the yield is very small, while others say that the complete opposite is true (I even remember even reading "huge multioz" tops, when referring to the LA W).

Question then: Would it be the LA Conf pheno or the Martian pheno that contributes to the smaller/larger final amount? Am I asking the wrong question? That is, is it not-so-much the pheno that dictates this, but rather just the luck of the draw in the genetics game?

On a side note, I also see a huge disparity between the final quality of the LA Ws...a large variation of positive/negative (maybe not so much negative, but unfavorable) reviews. Any ideas?

I'd say the LA pheno's yeild on the low side. LA Confidential is known for low yeilds. As to the second part of your question it probably comes down to what pheno someone got and their skill level of growing. LA Con and MMG are both great strains so it only makes sense that something killer could come from the cross.

My LA woman has had a little time to cure and to be fair to her she has quite a pungent aroma very nice smell oranges mostly and a little bit fruity, i think the yield was small as she grew very little side branching mostly a single cola and didn't have the best of starts in veg, during flushing the leaf around the buds started to turn purple giving a nice appearance with the frosty green bud ginger hair and purple leaf as for the strength i'll give it another go tomorrow (i don't smoke on days it's hard enough to get up for work at 04:45 as it is lol) i've only smoked 1 joint so far and before i smoked that i was smoking my Sogouda which is wicked strong so i should get a better idea of what she can do after 5 days off as i stated in the above post i probably wouldn't grow it again due to the yeild i'd rather give the space to my Sogouda which gave me 3.5o or my Durban poison which gave me 4o of quality gear.

I have definitely gotten bigger yields with training. Left to do it's own thing it is a single cola. The plant I showed above was pruned to produce 4 colas and that helped but the previous one that I lst'd and veged a bit did better. I bet with extensive careful training I can do better, but the way my op works and the fact that I have been traveling a lot lately doesn't allow me to do that. I don't have the experience that many do here, but my pheno produces fairly well compared to the rest of my strains. Keep in mind also that a 20% difference in a micro grow is hardly noticeable, where in a full sized op it is a really big deal, so my comments about production are to be seen as mostly relevant to those doing micro grows or low veg-time sogs. In those cases the single cola, and the fact that it is less apt to branch out features of this plant are a plus for space reasons. For those growing full sized plants I would recommend doing some training either by pruning to 4 main colas or tying it down to inspire some bushing. Hopefully I will betting to my friends house soon to take some pictures of the ones we potted up outside and I'll show something more substantial in terms of size.

GREAT Smoke Best I have grown to date

This is a clone from my mom outdoors. This is in the same soil I use indoors which is an organic amended soil and coco mix. The plant is maybe 24-30" over the pot. Some branching but mostly straight up. I'm sure she was clipped some when she was in my veg cabinet waiting to get dropped off, so some pruning. This is about a 2.5 gallon pot.

LA Woman's father is Martian Mean Green, which is Sharksbreath x G13 Haze. Now if that is not a Haze lineage, I don't know what is. True enough LA Woman grows like an Indica, but don't fool yourself into thinking that this hybrid strain is a pure anything. I was only talking about the smell when I suggested it was the Haze influence, sorry many I smoke weed so I make mistakes all the time.

LA con is the pure indie affy line not the LAW lol read it closer purple he said his pheno of hte woman that is majorly la could be the ones producing the cofee because the la con is a pure indica with a tendecy to produce a coffee flavor

well i was trying to read up on this strain and find some pics of the flowering phases and i must say it looks like a tasty one my LAW clone has been going since june and is going into its 2nd week of flower. not sure what size container, shes in garden soil feeding with FF TB & BB i did a little LST on her, but couldve done better if i had the extra veg time...
anyways, she is producing some fair amounts of thc so far, wen u rub a leaf that is close to a flower uuuuuugggghhhhhh it smells sooooo dam sweet and delicious!!! very long pistils on her as well. i cant wait to see her fatten up!!! any advice is welcome, thanks for lookin First 2 pics shes a young one

I just thought I would follow up again. this one went to 69 days and I *think* this is going to be perfect for this one but I will report back in a few weeks. Some parts of the plant had less amber but this is fairly average for the plant. I didn't see many clear trichs for sure. Keep in mind I am growing micro, with cfl, and in soil so hydro under hps would most likely be a drastically different finish time.


also as an aside, the outdoor plant I showed a page or two back was ripped along with a potted Apollo 11, and a DNA Rocklock. My friend who has been having neck and back issues since an accident over a year ago had surgery to remove 2 discs from his neck a few weeks ago and when he came home after an overnight stay in the hospital 3 potted plants were stolen. he thinks that it was somebody who knew him and knew that he would be gone for the night. Very sad situation as this guy would much prefer smoking herb to the oxy's they are prescribing for him and I can't produce enough in my system for both of us. I'll be setting him up with an indoor micro over the next couple of weeks. he has two more plants on the other side of his yard, one of which is just in dirt and is huge. We now fear that whoever stole the potted ones from behind his garage will be back just before harvest time to rip off the rest. Sad sad sad...

I grew this and it made me want to cry. Great smell, loaded with huge buds and some of the weakest smoke I ever lit. I won't grow this again.

Mine was the same nice gear just not strong enough for me

My LA Woman is extremely massive and only 2 weeks into flower is covered in flowers. I think the yield is going to me insane, but now I'm worried about the strength

mine is the strongest thing in my garden... and I ain't no lightweight.

Well, my final opinion of the one plant I grew was that it was good, but not truly great. In the end I decided the high was boring, the smoke a little harsh and I gave away most of it. The guy I gave it to thought it was amazing. It was a free seed, good enough so I'm not sorry I grew it, but not good enough for me to grow again. It smelled awesome though and mine yielded like crazy.
