Humidity also plays a role in plant resin production. Although some potent equatorial strains do seem to occur in high humidity areas, most high-test land races have evolved in drier areas, like Afghanistan. The aridity of the areas of Afghanistan where Indica strains have evolved is quite apparent by the trait of large dense flower clusters. This would only be an advantage in an area of low humidity, as flowers will mold in anything more.2
There are many examples of non-cannabis plants producing resins in order to protect themselves from drying out. The waxy coating on cacti and other succulent plants is a prime example.3 marijuana flowered in humid conditions will often have a longer stalk on the glandular trichome than the same strain grown in drier conditions. While this may give the appearance of being very crystallized, it will likely contain less THC than the same plant grown in a drier environment. Another problem with longer trichome stalks is that the gland heads are more likely to break off during handling.

Hey thanks Billy good to have you here.
I will tell you this...I cut a lower branch down about 5 days ago juist let it hang and air dry...as a tester I rolled it up yesterday and it was a pinner.
Me and my buddy were blitzed I mean nice high for about 5-6 hours.
and I was cheesing the whole time..the feel good smoke.
And you know what ? I was smiling hard for whats too come...because it wasn't ready and it still rocked me!

I'll tell you she exceeded my expectations....I ran a test yesterday and was blitzed off some bottom buttons...I was worried about them not being tall enough...
a couple things that helped me was a buddy growing the same strain...
if you have any questions ask away ...I help with what I can.
I can tell you that if you do it right DNA LS is the real McCoy!

it's a 60% sativa but I think sometimes plants show different traits..I think these are called phenotypes..I'm not sure but it's kinda like two brothers same parents ones short ones tall ...same lineage..different traits...I am trying methods that my buddy used to get them fat and dense..my buds are rock hard ...I'm also working on resin increase with different lighting
but like I said that 40 % indica can rear its head anytime...check out how one of my girls is a darker green then the other...somewhat different aroma also...one is skunkier and the other is more lemony...both are stony as hell though!
