Got another grow going on that I'm gonna document. The LS from dna. A great strain that I've grown before and been very impressed with. The best herb I ever grew .
Only thing was, I was a fairy new grower when I did it and made a few mistakes, harvested it a little too early at 8 weeks from flip .. this was the difference from being really good herb to what could have been out of this world herb. Now a little wiser I think taking this strain to 10 weeks from flip will produce more weight and a more heavy stone.
This strain has been out of stock for over a year and I'm wondering if the seeds are still the same quality as what I had before. But all is looking good so far. DNA generally haven't let me down though last grow I did a few months back, sharksbreath... absolutely average, very disappointing. But the LS gets rave reviews and seems to be a reliable heavy hitting strain.
so enough rambling .. here I am at 3 weeks in to 12/12 today. I topped very early above node 2 for 4 cola effect.. didn't quite work out as I ended up with 2 dominant and 2 non dominant tops.. I attempted to correct this with a little lst. This worked at first as you can see from week 2's pic. However It ended up wishboning the main stem.. bummer.. main stem completely split in 2 vertically . So won't be doing that again.. thankfully the plant never really skipped a beat. Stalled about 4 days then started stretching again. I just left the lst.. and tied a little bit of shoelace around the branches at the base to support it a bit... but it's sturdy as anything now and looks like it will support the bud weight just fine... and I did get a decent result in opening the plant out a bit and reducing the stretch..she seems to be just stopping stretching as of today also.
Grow is as always in a closet under a 250 watt hps. Garden centre generic potting compost and "chilli focus " chilli food from start to finish.
