if you just look at the past winners by year it says utopia haze. click the past winners link. any way it dont matter lets just grow our seeds and see who grows what. im doing og18/skunk and the kandykush one. it will be fun to watch all the strains grow out.

I saw it on the attitude site. If you goto the cup winner section highlight 2009 and go over the 2nd place. But its just a typo. So my bad. Im dust.

I germinated one of my Kush Berry x Skunk's and one of the Kandy Kush x Skunk's. I just went to check on them and they are ready to be put into soil, very healthy looking. Took 3 days to germinate using the paper towel method.

I got mine today, too. At least the shirt was decent this month. :D

I think I'm going to start with Kandy Kush and Kush Berry. Probably in a few weeks because I've got some other seedlings at the moment.

That was free for the christamas attitides special....????
Anyways i have that kandy kush goin right now.. and it is doing quite well.....

I'm not familiar with the Skunk strain, but if it's 30 years old, should we expect a less potent version of all these crosses (IE: OG 18 > OG 18 x Skunk)?

well so far 3 of the 4 beans i germed are in the process of popping can just see the very tip of of the taproot peakin through the shell...it has only been about 18hrs since i put them in the shot glass to soak...once they sank let them sit another couple hrs and put them in paper towel about 4 this morning...should be ready by tomorrow at the very latest...got same bag seed im gonna grow along with it and try topping and LST...if all go well then i will try with my good genetics...

No...Dont get me wrong but you want seeds or plants with genetics that go that far back...Not really sure the reasons (can think of a few) why it is better but i have ready alot of threads and it seams that the further back in time the better... Dont quote me though...

I understand that a long history behind a strain where the strongest are selected, stabilized, etc...but is it good if the plant itself is 30 years old (which is my impression here...could be wrong).

Supposibly kandy kush, la con, and others were "raped " by a 30 yrs old skunk male.....
Basicallly everyone ordered from atttitudes to get em....
Then oregon meds bashed em by saying that theyre junk at best .....
I guess to sum it all up taking seeds from a new hybids without breeding the two best from hundred of seeds isnt likely to give great genetics.... .
So i guess its hit or miss with those freebies......
but im willing to bet they could be damn good....

Yeah you didn't watch the video in that thread because the people from DNA never even said the word rape
And I don't trust OM's opinion because he has never done a journal of good genetics from a real seed bank
I agree though that they will turn out to be good shit
