do AK-48's take a while to germinate? i will give rep!

i ordered 5 fiminized seeds ak-48 one literally grew upside down. check it out here: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/357283-frst-grow-ak-48-what.html.... i started up two more seed. this time in papertowls first. both seeds had roots. i put them in soil. theyve been in soil for 4 days now.... in one of the cups the seed is right at the surface. i just want to see if its taken this long for anyone else.. Thanks a lot!

shouldnt take any longer then usual as long as you have them in a warm dark spot...had some ak-47 last year and they did great..i would stop fooling around with it and put it a little deeper annd let it do its thing...and if ya check out my profile i have a nice upside downer this year if thats what your talking about..

thank you!! +rep for you. what i mean by upside down is that i planted a seed in dirt and a few days later the root was sticking a 1/4 inch out of the dirt. i dug the plant up and the 2 leaves were about 2/3 inch down IN the dirt and they almost rotted. that plant has made a good turn around and is growing fine now that i fixed it.. the first 2 leaves are already dead though.

poor guy. i checked out the thread and i think you are giving yourself major anxiety over this. you even have the saran wrap on the cups. lights on or lights off issues...it's almost as if you are trying too much. germing seeds is only an issue if you overthink it. i am fairly careless with the germ process and i have germed over 10 seedbank strains and countless bagseeds and have had very similar germination rates, all very high. i don't do anything for the humidity and i stick them under lights the second they go in soil (you might want to raise those lights a bit until the pop. even cfls don't need to be that close until you see green) i don't recall reading how you water your cups but i would suggest a spray bottle untill they pop the soil.

If they are not too deep! You will be fine. Avoid over watering your soil (just water when the soil get dry (when you do not feel any moist with top of finger in the soil))

Do not add nute yet, plain PH water (around 6.3 to 6.5 in soil)

Just be sure your room is warm with good humidity (above 55%)

+rep to all!.....lord you dont even no me but you do no me.....yes i do have an anxiety problem. thats the main reason i smoke pot. it helps with my stomach aches and my head when i feel like going crazy.lol... i overthink the germination process but i dont mess with the seeds..... i germd many bagseed and it seemed like they just instantly grew... now that im tryin these ak's everything seems to be taking a little longer...... i look at them once a day. im hoping when they finally show some leaves they will grow normally!

lol. be patient. some strains do take longer than others and i am not personally familiar with this strain. i have had 4 beans of the same strain where the last popped up 4 days after the first one. within the strain there are different phenos as well so the same strain may show really distunguishable differences. once it pops you can breathe easy. also i would suggest laying off any sativa strains lol.

You put the seed in with the more pointed end DOWN, this is where the tap-root comes out. If you put it in upside down and not very deep then the roots could expose themselves.
If you throw a seed in the soil on its side, sure it might adjust itself. It is wasting energy doing so, however. It is really best to just plant the seed so that the tap root can go directly down and be happy.
