Mr Green Do you flush with the sledgehammer after veg/ b4 going into flower? I am growing in 5gallon fabric pots I have heard 3X the pot size so would I really need 15 gallons of water per pot?
Yes. I flush with Sledgehammer (2 tsp/Gal) approximately every 4 weeks. I don't use as much water as they recommend. In a 5 gallon pot you should be fine with 5 to 7 gallons, maybe even less. As long as you get a good run-off, you should be ok. I usually flush my 3 gallon pots with 2 to 3 gallons of water/sledgehammer and haven't had ANY soil-related issues.

If you get good runoff, why would you need to flush?
Plants love yucca. I use FF sledgehammer occasionally as a wetting agent, but I don't flush.

If you use their 3 pack grow big , big bloom , tiger bloom you can get great results.

some dude on here mentioned dyna gro.. I like dyna gro too..

The reason I like fox farm ocean forest soil is.. you can start a plant in it and veg for 5 weeks only giving water. the food is in the soil for 5 weeks. so you can veg using only whats in the soil and get awesome results.. then switch to flowering and add tiny bit of grow big with big bloom and tiger bloom.. once you transition into full flowering (after the stretch) you can stop the grow big and use tiger bloom and big bloom.

I have an auto going right now and the only thing I have used on it is molasses and tiger bloom.

It worked wonders

I have used the Fox Farms Dirty Dozen pack and it worked really well! Haven't had any bad experiences with the brand as of yet.

The feeding schedule makes it really easy to do as well.

I love FFOF soil, but their nutes are pricey for what you get. They do make it easy, however. I know several people who get good results. Don't skip the big bloom. It doesn't look like much as far as N-P-K, but it's the key to a good finish.

Love their stuff. Ever try Oregonism? I use it every time I transplant.
I have it in my Dry Nutrients Player Pack from them. The only thing not in the Dry Player Pack I ordered separately is the Surge, which I bought to increase microbe population as well as terps and resin.

OregonismXL's the shit, though.

First off...i am a noob. No novice, or kid though...grown man trying to grow big, healthy dank bud...sought out fire strains..And always try n do my homework...i started in dwc..still do a few, cant argue with growth rates...im doing a personal side by side comparoson of my own. 2- 5. Gal. buckets - 1 dwc. 1-ffof - 60/40 perlite cut....both topped several times and lollipopped.... Dwc is about to ge chopped....that said...so far my soil pant seems like its going to be just as big as dwc....no b.s. i started all dwc...had a lot of issues...actually went to soil just to try and get some smoke produced! Now. Im dialing it all in...im running a 30 day perpetual -10 -15 plant runs...just started it..fingers crossed.

Before I jumped over to promix (you should too) I used FF ocean forest, was consistant and good soil IMHO. Although many forum members have stated they changed their mix and not for the better.

Promix HP is actually very good and a great choice for the final potting when you take over with liquid food. I believe Sunshine #4 mix is very similar.

I may experiment with FFOF a little more now that I've found a local source that sells 1.5 cu ft bags for $13. Last summer I had a Jack Herer in a half gallon pot & didn't want to mix a new batch of soil for one plant. The plant was a heavy feeder and was already showing phosphorous deficiency so I mixed some SeaBat slow release (0-17-0) into some FFOF & repotted straight into a 5 gallon cloth pot. I didn't measure carefully, but it was about 1/4 cup in 5 gals. That plant exploded with growth after that and didn't need extra food for about 4 weeks! Admittedly, I've never grown that strain before. It was so impressive, I want to try the same technique with a different strain and see what happens.
