do buds fatten in dark

hi guys what would happen if i put a flowering plant in the dark for its last week of flowering, will it keep flowering, its very wet and cold and found some bud rot, only a small bit, i cut it off and brought plant into shed and put a heater and fan on, that was yesterday and it seemed ok today. will the buds fatten in dark? maybe its a silly thought

i dont do it myself but i have heard of others giving it complete darkness the last few days so its not a terrible question to ask. Hopefully someone will check this out that actually knows the benefits if any and give you a good answer

I don't know if I'd leave it in the dark for an entire week, but a couple of days shouldn't hurt. Don't forget mold loves dark places.........

growth happens with light and thc production happens with darkness.

cheers guess i may put it back out on dry days, or would a 250 watt carpark light do? low on funds at mo.
