Is it true that in the 7th and 8th weeks the buds should swell up a bit and get larger? I've been hoping to see a bit more girth on my stems...
Do buds swell near the end of flower?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm growing outdoors and was hoping to see a little swelling going on before it gets any colder at night. We've already had two nights dip down into the 30s. From everything that I've read on this and other forums the buds are supposed to swell the last few weeks of flower.. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm still a bit to go before harvest. Just starting to see red hairs here and there. I'm nearing the end of my first flower so new to all this and have no experience with yield sizes. Trying to guess how much weight to expect...

growing thems the easy part trimming is the hard part lol i just got done trimming for tonight more trimming tommorow after work really need to invest in a autotrimmer

Well as of now I'm not overly concerned with the amount of trimming I'll have to do, but I still have a few weeks left.... Hopefully with growth and swelling over the next 2-3 weeks I'll be dreading the trimming of my huge buds! I've got 3 Sannies Herijuana in my flower tent right now, gonna push them 8-9 weeks of flower.
