I mean its quite obvious that we get dofferent highs from different strains, but since thc is the matter that alters your mind/ gives you a "high" , what makes different strains bringing different highs ifthey have similar thc levels? And why are sativas so different from indica highs?

Every cannabis plant has differing levels and types of terpines. These are what makes cannabis such an extraordinary plant. Terpines give the plant the ability to smell like skunk and like mango. They also have differing effects on the body. A terpine called lemonine is what gives lemon strains their taste and it is also a bronchiodialator. And every strain has different amounts of THC, CBD, THCV and other cannabinoids that all contribute to the final efficacy of the strain. So that's kind of why you will feel different things with different weed. Hope that helps.

yea that does make sense but why are there so little research and scientific experiments on em
is it becuase the government has banned the research regarding pot?

I just think all the research is privatized. I have been researching since I was 15, in fact let me go research right now bongsmilie....there are a lot of reasons why pot has been made illegal and it has nothing to do with it being harmful and everything to do with money and power.

There are some great pro pot videos on netflix, check em out, major eye opener. Like how using hemp as a biofuel could drastically reduce our reliance on foreign oil. And how the logging industry lobbied to keep hemp illegal because hemp can be made into paper, quite easily, whereas trees that are made into paper require strong chemicals and exspensive processes to make paper and the logging industry had already invested big time in paper mills.

Research in the U.S.A. has been and is minimal because of the Federal Controlled Substances Act. It requires the government to give out a permit to do research, and the governments does not hand those permits out, at all. The only government sanctioned grow in the entire USA is at the University of Mississippi (I think) And they did not even produce a crop this year so that tells you how much the government gives a shit about people who are sick and in need of effective medicine.

yeah federal regulations do not allow private corporations to do much research on their own, and the times they are able to it is because they have jumped through many hoops to do so.

our gov has done plenty of studies and when ppl say there is no research on the subject, they have just been misled

its strange that cannabis is a schedule 1 drug that hold "no medicinal value" and yet our gov holds a patent for the use of medical marijuana: https://sites.google.com/site/6630507/

Terpenoids. The unique combinations of terpenoids in varying levels are presumed to be the major contributor to the different 'highs.'

Some terpenoids affect people in different ways too, this may be why some strains work so well for ailments of one person while doing nothing for someone else's.

I know that if I open a jar and smell pine trees or oranges that I will more then likely have great pain relief for my knee, gardeneas or other similar flower smells do great for my anxiety. The spouse does better with 'Cheese' strains for her pain relief.

There are products offered that claim they can alter your high, Pan's Ink is one of them.
