Depends how well you hide your plants in your garden. Plant a few tomatoes and stuff around it to hide your plants?

Usually they are looking for larger grows. I don't think they are after a guy with a few plants in his backyard. They have bigger fish to fry, imo.
exactly, they spend millions putting those drones and manned heli's in the sky. they are not going to waste time and money busting you and I for a 10 plant grow. They are after the Mexican cartels who clear acres of land and bring in illegals to run the show with machine guns. You and I are a solution to the problem. spending our money on taxable items like soil and nutes. and not spending it on Mexican grown bud. Its all better for America this way.

I remember last year the local joint task force rolled into town and decided to put on a show by rolling up at 6am and busting/chopping down about 15 small backyard grows in one neighborhood. They brought their armored cars and swat gear, piled all the plants up in the street, called the local paper and posed for pictures, etc. they claimed it was all illegal grows being run by gang members (and maybe it was) but it all looked like a bunch small time backyard stuff to me.
And this seems to me a, "Oh shit we havnt gotten any thing" lets get something in the paper because we are wasting tax money!!

This is not correct. At least not everywhere. We dont even have Mexican cartels my state. Like I said in my post above, I listen to eradicate marijuana team on the radio every summer. I hear annually backyard bust single plants. When the helicopter flew over a nearby county, they found only 19 plants in the county still make it seem like in the media their victory. :wall:

We definitely are the solution to the problem, brick weed is probably still in non-medical states but personally I live in California and I haven't seen brick weed in a good 2-3 years. In fact, I don't even think anyone in my area even messes with the brick weed, if you know the right people you can get an ounce of outdoor around here for what an ounce of stress used to go for a few years back.

As for the choppers, don't pay any mind to them. Personally I have helicopters fly over my yard every so often, used to really make me nervous but if they wanted to nail my ass they would have done so a LONG time ago. As many people above have said, no one cares about a grow that only has a few plants (unless you're selling to every and anyone of course). You'd have to have an indoor warehouse grow or dozens and dozens of plants outdoors, but even then your worst problem still isn't the cops. Depending on your location, no one even cares about weed anymore. In fact, a few cops have even told me this same fact. They're happy that people aren't seeing marijuana as a big deal anymore, now they can focus all of that energy on meth which is the real problem. Don't waste time stressing over it, that doesn't mean to get sloppy to the point where you're practically inviting the cops over of course. However what I am saying is that you're a lot more likely to get ripped than arrested so personally, I'd worry more about that.

True I live on east coast and haven't seen any brick weed in a very long time. I'm right outside the biggest city in my state too so if it was around I'd definitely see it. People used to love that nasty shit.

Like I said twice, I heard them on the radio every year. I heard they bust a single plant per year. If you are in doubt in some states the helicopter will bust your single plant, in this news article, the only one helicopter arrested someone trying to toss a single plant ...

http://portsmouth-dailytimes.com/news/home_top-news/2574728/500-pot-plants-eradicated-Lucasville-man-arrested

See This Ohio counties the number of plants seized. You'll see many of them are no more than five ...

http://www.clermontsheriff.org/marijuanaeradication.aspx

They can turn their heads in the MMJ states, but in the Midwest and in states with higher population densities, they will not.

what do you live in Europe? because they are everywhere like the hells angels. You see where I live and I work with people who don't speak English. You think there cousin vinny isn't up here trying to make a living?.. Your last sentence needs some work, but this was my other point. If they cant find some big shows they will bust a little guy to try and make a big deal about it. But we are all smarter than that, and know They are just trying to keep the job touring the area in a helicopter.

I live in Ohio, but I'm originally from Europe. Back home in Europe, there arent many outdoor growing, but it may be more relevant facts frost hit really early, summer is too short. In fact, I have not heard any helicopter team in Europe does not eradicate marijuana without a tip from the public, but there probably is. Seems pretty relaxed attitude (and not that it is not a relaxed attitude here just not so much). There seems little thieves, less nosy person, less police in Europe. as if it was any other plant, you can see people grow outside the window cannabis or on the terrace from the road in the city. In Ohio, it is more severe punishment, but also small backyard grow is no big deal. I would not worry too much about helicopters. I'm just saying, the risk still exists. There are some Mexican cartel practice in Ohio. There is not enough to only focus on the big job though. I read somewhere that the average seizure in Ohio down to 20 plants, orginally 80 plants, then 40 plants. getting smaller and smaller grows in one area, they are really trying to track down, so they can continue to get the DEA funds. oh I speak four languages other than English, just beginning to learn, recently Sorry if my sentence, sometimes does not make sense. I try. :p

I was at a buddys place last year helping him with his outdoor grow. We had been watching a chopper flying the river looking for plants. Then we watch him get closer and closer. the guy flys over from the back to the front of his house. The guy makes a turn right over his house and comes back and sits on top of the grow. They are low enough we can see the door guys eyes. We wave, flip him off then do the finger gun thing shooting him down. He left and sure enough 3 days later there comes a knock on the door. It was the sheriff asking about his grow. showed him paperwork and he was on his way didn't even look at the grow.
