After cutting, I pluck the leaves by hand, then shape them into pretty little nuggets when scissors, then I hang and later jar & cure. In the past I tried cutting them while dry but that turned out to be more work. I also used to use the scissors to remove the sugar leaves, but they get gummed up to fast. Now I pluck then trim. Its actually a lot faster too and the fresh hashish you get from plucking is so bomb. I hate everything about harvesting, except rolling that hashish into a ball and smoking it on the spot while it still has a leafy taste.

As an experiment, I tried just cutting off the fan leaves and drying, figured I'd trim the sugar leaves afterwards. Never again, it takes waaaay too long, and I couldn't trim down to the bud like I normally do. I hang in a dark closed up closet, within three days the buds are almost too dry to cure properly. I thought leaving some leaf on would slow it down, but it made no difference and once the sugar leaves fold down over the bud and dry, it's impossible to trim well
