Do I have to?????

Hey guys whast up? I was just in the neighborhood and was wondering, do I have to cure marijuana. Listen, I could care less about how smooth the smoke is i just want some dank ass bud to stoned with, i dont care about taste or texture if that makes sense. Will NOT curing marijuana take away from the potency of the product or can i just dry that shit and smoke it? Thanks guys much appreciated

Actually, curing marijuana ADDS to the potency. I have some buds that are over a year old and they are better now, both potency and taste, than they were a year ago.

You can smoke it if you can get it lit. It will be so harsh your throat will feel like it is on fire but you can smoke it. I do find it odd that you say "dank" and "not cured" in the same paragraph. I believe you will find those 2 things sorts go hand in hand. Good luck and make sure you have some throat spray handy!

Curing buds do not add to the potency, it brings it out. The first week of curing affects potency in that it evenly removes moisture within the bud so virtually all the thc is psycoactive. curing also allows buds to dry enough so mold does not grow on them when buds are stored.

The potency is not that much greater if cured, but there is no reason not to.
This is what i do.
hang the buds and put a fan on them. cut big fan leaves off right away get rid of em.
24 hours later you can start manicuring the buds, rehang after you got em looking pretty. Save your clippings from this trim for hash. 24 to 48 hours after that, some of the smaller buds will be dry enough to smoke. cut them of the branch and put them in the curing jar. You can now smoke any of it, but what you dont is curing in the meantime. The only thing is, until the cure is finished, the buds will be too damp to smoke. You get around that by keeping an extra bud out of the jar, drying at all times. Hope that helps.

Thanks for clearing that up. I meant to say that but sometimes after a few bong hits of Kali Mist, my mind and fingers don't always agree. By curing, it allows you to get the maximum out of your buds, thus increasing the potency. Shit...that did not come out right either. Anyway, I think you get the jest.

Curing = Good buds
Not Curing = sore throat and less potent buds

To me, curing is one of the most important aspects of growing good weed. It is the difference between average smoke vs quality smoke.

One more week going to kill you? lol I didn't think so, so cure them, or you won't have dank buds, they will just be smokable. To anyone wondering the idea of curing is to draw the moisture thats in the center of the buds out, so all the THC in the middle will be converted to its psychoactive form...so it helps your bud be more potent. Giving your buds this extra week of the curing process will help make sure all the chlorophyll, starches, and sugars are released from the buds. Too quick of a drying process, or unwanted moisture will trap unwanted starches, and sugars which act as fire retardants.
