Do I need a dehumidifier?

So im going on about week 6 of flower, and i've been having WPM issues. I've got a great mildew killer, but I can't keep spraying it forever.

I have about 9 plants in a small-ish bedroom 8x10 or 10x10ish. My intake is fresh outdoor air, which is fine during the day. I live in michigan so i can get pretty humid, but when the light is on its not a concern. Lately my humidity has been going up to 75-80% rh at night.

I use to leave my window open 24/7, with my intake fan on a timer to stop as the light goes out, allowing humid air at night to come into the room passively. I've sense stopped that and now I turn the light on and off manually every morning / night. But my humidity is still high. Is this because of the dirt and plants themselves creating the humidity?

The humidity is really up there at night and I was going to get a dehumidifier but the good ones on amazon are all like $150 and up. and Tons of people on here say they accidentally buy the wrong size (yikes! what a mess!).

Do I need one? My rooms not that large, but im not crammed into some little tent like a lot of you are.

If you keep getting the mildew then ya imo I'd buy 1 with 1 day shipping right this minute....but that's just me.....that's nothing paying around $250+ around here...if buying off amazon google the reviews on the maker not the seller to make sure you don't get some bunk Machine, but I'm sure you know that....gl

Hell yes you need one, if your in week six, you should be down to 45% hum, you can find them on craigs list or facebook garage sale sites all the time for $50-60 make sure you get a 65 pint or larger I would try and stay down to the 40% if you can

Also Apple cider vingar 2 tablespoons and about 20-30 oz of water works wonders

The less the better, tricks a plant thinking it needs to protect its water and pushes more trichs

I've been using a good mildew cure, it works pretty well, but it starts to come back in a couple days because my humidity gets 75+ at night

Buy a dehumidifier! Yeah, check craigs list....It's not just the high RH, it's the big swings in RH too.....Don't run at 40%.....50 will be fine.....

Horsetail grass tea. Google it. But some. Brew it and cool it,. Pour it into a sprayer and spray your plants...PM is now gone for long time......organic, plants like it! Can be used right up to harvest!

Now that you treated your plants.....sanitize your whole grow room! Bleach sanitizing solution. Spray EVERY surface in the grow area - EVERYTHING but the plants....miss nothing! The spores are everywhere!

If you put a portable AC in there and run that it will reduce the RH too, along with controlling your temps......I like Tripp Lite 1200 btu's for smaller area's....Not cheap,,,,but blows the excess RH out the exhaust tube and not to a condensate collector that you have to drain!

The PM spores came in that open window! So maybe the portable AC will actually solve the multiple problems you have.....Heat must be one as you have a window open!

Most of that is true, however i have a friend across the street who just got their electric bill from last month. their bill was $350 (without plants growing) Mostly just from running a window AC unit. They are incredibly expensive in electric to run, and knowing how small my room is, and how hot that damn light gets, it would never turn off when the light was on.

Well, you do what you have too.

I will, thank you for the advice. The old dehumidifier i found last night worked great by the way. on half power my humidity reached a peak of 41%
