Do I need any red spectrum during vegg?

Check it out, I'm used to growing outdoors, currently I have 7 lil ladies under four 4' 6500k tube lights. They are about 3 weeks old starting from seed. I'm dirt bagging using Fox Farms Ocean Forest.

My question is, should I put some 2700k cfl's over 'em too? The sun outdoors has the red spectrum in it, and I've grown fantastic plants out there.

I'm gonna keep 'em in the veggie stage for at least another two weeks.

Yeah it would be fine with some red spectrum

I used an HPS for veg and got thicker nodes than people who swear by their MH...

Far out man, I picked up 7 cfl's down at the Dollar Store. Not that powerful, but, super cheap. I thought that a lil red wouldn't hurt 'em. I'm building the light hangin' thing right now.

blue keeps the stretch down , nothing wrong with 2700 in veg, more light the better

i have more 2700k cfl's in my grow room than 6500k cfl's, been good so far. i'm loving my 42w 2700k and 6500k bulbs. very big and bright!
