Do I need rooting hormone?

I plan on cutting about 8-10 clones tomorrow and I'm wondering if I really need to get rooting hormone? I'm fairly certain if I cut a good clone and properly bury it in my Metromix it will survive. What should I expect though?

DonnieO,,don't mess around,,rooting hormone is cheap,,get some if you want 8-10 clones,,I tried 2 methods before trying a rooting hormone,,guess what,,only the hormone worked,,don't lose what ya want

K I'll go pick some up tomorrow. Turns out there's a hydro shop about 10 miles from me that carries almost everything htgsupply has. pretty crazy. what's the best kind? I've heard Olivia's cloning gel is the best.

if u got 3 weeks to wait...you fill a (not clear cup) of water and stick the cuttin through a piece of paper and leave it on your window sill for bout 3 weeks and it will sprout roots...cost nothin! i did that

oops..after u stick it throught the middle of the piece of paper jus put the end in the cup of water..make sure it is in water more then half way.

There is a shop in EL 1 block past Northwind off Grand River just west of Park Lake Rd. Turn south at Paul Revere's Tavern. Its down a couple of blocks on the left hand side. Dawn Ave. They have Oliva's along with several others. Tell em the old man sent you. VV

PS did you see my post about nute burn? I overnuted with the fucking Tiger Bloom on all 4 plants. Grrr.......... I transplanted the 2 smaller ones into 3 gal. tonight so they're all in 3 gal's now. I also flushed all of them and trimmed the bottom 1/3 of foliage/stems from the sativas. I'm going to take clones tomorrow -- all 4 of them are female!!! If I can just stop this nute burn from spreading I'll be fine. They'll be in the ICU for the next couple days.

I've done plenty of clones without rooting hormones. But you know it's always recommended ;)

I've heard you can use cocanut milk from moggies but it would be better if you can to get cloning powder/gel.

Ive always found the gels to be better for marijuana.
Some strains are a bitch to clone some will clone if you spit on the end and stick it in your ass:blsmoke:

Yeah today's my day off and I need to head into town anyway, so I'll pick up some Olivia's while I'm there. I know my two indicas are female so I'm going to clone them ASAP into some 1 gallon pots.

Yeah, $16.00/2oz. a bottle is better damn well be! I picked it up today, I'm going to cut 4 clones. Updated pics in my grow journal tonight.
