Where im germinating the seeds (in pots of soil) they are in a dark room. Should i switch my lights on or hold back for a bit.

If the root is covered by soil, then it is fine. The roots will start their downward push and the sprout will start its climb. If that process starts sans light, then stretching will get out of hand and the stems will be very thin. On with the lights and the plant will orient itself.

Hey b00linib, I am in the exact same stage of sprouting as you are, i currently have 1 that has sprouted leaves and 2 that have that downward U shape, I just let it do its thing and it popped up the next day. and they were white at the stage also. after they sprouted with leaves it became more green.
Hope this helped.

Patience is the key. The plant knows what to do. Indoor growing just means that we are in charge of the tools the plant can use.

Most of the time the bean leaves will be light in color (white or yellow) when they first emerge. After a few hours they will start to work the magical chloro that gives them their green. The stems will be white for the better part of a week before they start to turn to light green. All perfectly normal.
