As the title says..is it necessary ? I have some noise problems when i sleep. The fan does the job perfectly...but it's not that quiet.Any ideas to reduse the noice ?it works at 2.300rpm and i think it's intake is 107 m3/h.

It is preferable to ventilate 24/7 exchanging the air in your space. That said, your plants will not perish if you put a timer on the fan and have it cut off for a period. I would suggest a timer that turns off the fan for 2 hours at bedtime and kicks back on after you have fallen asleep.

I would also recommend 10mg of Melatonin 1 hour before bed. Melatonin is n extremely cheap ( walmart...100 pills about $7 ) and natural relaxer ( it's not a drug ) and phukin' works wonders for me. I sleep like a teenager again, deeply and fully all night. I never wake up in the middle of the night. quite honestly, Melatonin is the best thing I ever did for myself.

Not necessary but you do need to provide some air movement so it does not get stagnant. In my case I am able to turn off the inline fan when the lights are out. During lights on it cools my 600W and passively pulls in air from outside my grow area. During lights out I keep a 12' oscillating fan near the entrance to my room which is basically a curtain and it pulls in air from a gap in the curtain.

I've never had a noise problem but I've seen where people suspend the fan with rubber bungee cords, or somehow dampen the vibration and noise transfer with pads under the fan

some air movement is needed at night if for no other reason than to prevent mold. as temps drop after lights out, humidity will condensate on the leaves and provide the perfect breeding ground for powdery mildew and other molds

You need air exchange not just circulation. When air cools it loses its ability to hold moisture. And that said moisture will go right on your plants.

Thanks EVERYONE for your attention.I will try and get some more quiet fans for night time. And if that's not enough i'll set my timer to operate 2hours later :).

Sounds like you need a good smoke before going to bed. Melatonin is bad for you. I wouldn't recommend any pharma to anybody.

Suspend fans by wire.... that will cut down nearly all vibration noise. Other than that, using a fan that moves more air but slowing down the rpm will allow a lot of air to be moved while keeping the sound low. ...or like others said, put em on a timer but don't keep them off for too long.
