Do I need venting for a 2x2 tent with a 250 watt ballast

400-600w hps/mh in a 3x3 or 4x4 is a great way to get started on the cheap if you've got the space but the 250w hids are horribly inefficient.

I learned to grow in a 2' x1.5' locker and could get 5.5oz's with 1 plant. The plant couldn't be over 2 feet high.

I run a 600w hps/mh in a 4x4, a friend of mine does though. He manages to pull 3-4oz out of his sectioned off bit of closet his wife let's him use.

I ended up buying a 32"x32" tent 32''x32''x64'' Grow Tent Indoor Hydroponics Box Horticulture 3'x3' Growing Room | eBay
And went with the LED that was the next step up from what you recommended. Bloom Plus 1500W LED Grow Light Sunlike Full Spectrum Indoor Plants Veg Flower 686494422025 | eBay

So a slightly bigger tent and a slightly bigger LED. Do you think the above LED is big enough??

How do you keep in sturdy in the ducting tent hole?? Can I get a pic??

Any enclosed fan device and a bit of tubing can supply you with the air flow you need.

This is a HEPA of filter with the HEPA filter removed which gives it incredible air flow with a bit of tube duct taped to where the air comes out. I push that through the vent in the tent.

I have 5 other tents and I don't cycle air into the tent. I really just remove the air out of the tent and have no issues.
Pull air out or push it in, either way. On my tent I pull out from the tent and push the exhaust through a carbon filter. I want to keep the pressure negative in the tent, so everything leaving the tent goes through the filter.

How are you pulling pounds when you don't seem to know anything about lighting, ventilation or tents? ps. That Bloom Plus LED you bought is made for a 23" x 23" tent.

Its equivilant to a 400 HID.... I get 1/2 pound off of 1 plant in a 3x3 using a 400hps with no veg time in the tent in DWC... My tent is like 30"x30" that LED will be fine.

Was thinking the same thing, just trying to be nice. It's OK to be new at stuff and ask questions. No need to try and bs everyone.

You're looking at the numbers wrong. Actual wattage and umol/w are what you use to calculate your needs. Just enter the data in the calculator.
