Do I trim higher or turn my mainline into a scrog?

Hi all,

Long story short I tried mainlining and I'm finding theres too much open canopy space in the middle and the mains are too high compared to the lower branches that are trying to fill the hole. I also read that mainlining is more suited to hps or something less uniform and more penetrating than LED strips.

So far I did a week 3 flower trim of anything on the bottom side that hadn't already reached up to the canopy level.

Should I trim below the top 5-6 nodes on my mains and bring them in closer to fill the gap or train them flat like a scrog?

You are a couple weeks into flower. I would just leave those plants alone and let them actually grow. You seem to have good structure and supports for them. The more you cut off and screw with them, the less yield you will get at this point.

DSC_0716.JPG Got some soft ties and just re-arranged it all into a more spiral shape that is much more flat

I cut off all the big fan leaves and the popcorn buds underneath. Was having issues with a few aphids but they've gone now

Agree with Thundercat I would leave em if you can unless they're getting too close to the light. If that's the case I'd just tie em down a bit. Since your 3 weeks in I wouldn't mess with em much if I could help it.
