Do I water my plants before harvest please? Coco

there's a technique called "dry-stress" in order to increase potency.

drying is done to remove water - so watering defeats this purpose somehow...

or would you feed it to maybe give it enough water to help break down the chlorophyll?
thats later done by microbes & enzymatic processes. a slow dry and 62 rH will be enough for this, some even feel this is still too much moisture.

My plants will dry out after 24 hours since their last hand watering. My questions are...

1. Do I water my plants just before I harvest?

2. Does the plant need water to break everything down?

3. What happens if you harvest a plant that's about to wilt?
If you use plain water in coco at any point in time you fucking up it’s CEC capacity as it’s inert and requires constant feeding.

seedling early veg 0.6-0.8EC
MID VEG 0.8-1.0 EC
LATE VEG 1.2EC
Early flower 1.2-1.4
Mid flower 1.2
Late flower 1.2-0.8 lowering in the final few weeks down to the 0.8.

never ever ever ever ever let coco dry out with mature plants!!!!

Did I mention don’t ever let coco dry out!

My plants are always harvested at 0.8EC feed strength.

I cut my plant into sections and remove all fan leaves.

I lightly trim all buds and hang in 2ft lengths until dry enough to jar.

If you fed yesterday and plan to harvest today then don’t feed the coco.

if you plant to harvest tomorrow then feed today.

btw has anyone ever heard of pouring hot water into the pot thereby killing the roots, then harvesting a few days later when the plant died? broscience no/yes?

@budman111 Whether you feed nutes or not, would you harvest a plant that dry and about to wilt? or would you feed it to maybe give it enough water to help break down the chlorophyll?
I assumes that OP meant the soil as a dry plant would crumble at touch. if it was about to wilt then i would weigh up the possible lengthy recovery time v start a new crop time.

I know some people choose to feed feed nutes right up until harvest. I'm not one of those people. That is not what I need to know. I like to know plain water has been given to the plant for a week.
I give 1/2 strength the last week and top with water (NFT) and with a good 30 day cure there is nothing to suggest at all that it was not flushed. 100% top feedback from everyone.

Thanks all, there is a lot of useful info here. I'm going to do the 1st 2 plants just water. But I'm also going to start feeding 2 of the other 4 plants again until before harvest.

Seems removing the fan and sugar leaves is a popular way.

I tried that method once....did a trial with 4 plants, one plant was given the hot water treatment which essentially kills the plant instantly .....it did make a difference but I didn't like the resulting taste profile compared to the other plants
