Hey folks I thought I would pass along some experience with green lighting.
Now most people will say that you have to use green led lights to not disrupt your plants at night.
Well we purchased 12 LED green bulbs for each of our flower rooms. For the last 6 months we kept them on so that out co2 burner would run at night and feed the adjacent room.
After having a room full of monsters, we were standing next to a plant that looked like it was 2-3 weeks behind the others. "This bitch was a dud" I said. Then my partner said.. maybe it's that green light above it? "Huh"? They are green and plants were not supposed to "see" green light.
Well, after checking the other bulbs... almost EVERY plant that was directly under a bulb was smaller than the rest. There were two cases where one side of the plant was immature compared to the other sides that were not basking in green light.
So..no more using the green light to trim and train or easily check on the plants without burning our eyeballs out.
I'm sure for a little emergency maintenance it is fine. But long term exposure to green light WILL SUPRESS FLOWERING.
Cheers
