Do nutrients expire and damage plants?

I'm on my 3rd grow of NL x BB. My last grow was about 5 months ago and I'm using the same nutrients I used back then, but I'm just having nonstop problems with my plants this time around. My Foxfarm tigerbloom has been opened for about a year now and there are hard bits in the bottom (crystalized). There is no expiration date on the bottle and I was just wondering if anyone knows what the shelf-life of nutes are once there opened. I really think this might be a major cause of my problems this grow.

That's a really good question.

I have nutrients from Advanced Nutrients, Botanicare and Dutch Master. I just checked all the bottles and not one of them has an expiration date or even any mention in the fine print regarding the shelf life of the product.

I dont think they do. I use AN too never seen anything on there except for instructions

I know that some nutes I had said suthin like dont ship after this date tho

well, they don't expect you to keep the product for more than 10+ years. so yes there should be expiration in the products itself but not for the time being. Its better to use the products early cause its fresh , then to use it when it wares out.

I have stuff that I use on my houseplants and outdoor plants that I've had for a good 3 years and it still seems to work.

I hate when food products have those encrypted expiration dates that mere mortals can't decode. Fuckers, they do that so you have to throw the shit out and buy new stuff.
