Do places of business shut for lunch round your end?

Hi all

Im the kind of person that needs a couple of hours in the morning to read news, eat, exercise etc.. By the time im ready to start working its pretty much lunch time here in spain. You know fair enough you wanna have lunch but for 3 fucking hours? you serious? And then its not like all shops have a specific time to close or open at so the hardware store might shut at 1230 while the hardcore construction shop could shut at say 2. I dont know about you people but i can get aaaaa lot of shit done in trhe afternoons. Then they aaaaaaaaall have different lunch time durations. Its doing me fucking head in.
Then on top of it all i swear to god, ive never gone to a shop here where it happened that they had everything i needed in stock, oh ye in a couple of days well call you when its here fuck off. Shit grow shops NEVER have the shit you need im fucking serious man. What fucking grow shop DOES NOT stock air stones and that shit??! And i go to the biggest and best in my area though i live in the sticks...
And Spain is only hot in summer, im sitting in 8c in my living room plants would be shocked by now, might actually go sleep in one of their rooms tonight...
Ye this happens in fucking kitchens as well!!! You wanna eat something from a menu at 4 o clock, ah the cooks fucked off like i can make you crappy sandwich.
This said i do have to take my hat off to the spanish hardware stores. I swear to god they might not have it in stock but they can get you everything and help you like hell. Im the kind of guy that leaves a tip at the hardware store, i fucking love going in there...when its open and they got all my shit.
Chucherias are amazing too though they have the crappiest opening hours, but their selection of gummys and their freshness is second to none when you find a good one. People that their gummys extremely seriously! over here i mean check this out:

I only know of one business in our town that closes totally for lunch.
Most everybody else is typically 0800 - 1700.

+ rep for all the pretty candy.
That looks so bright it's cartoonish.

Edit: can you imagine what a moderate earthquake would do to the poor OCD bastard that had to put them all back in their own bins? :wall:

Funny you mentioned supermarkets. I dont go to the supermarkets here in spain for food and so to millions of people im sure, only like cleaning stuff and bog roll. Since becoming vegetarian i pretty much just use one of the 7 green grocers in my tiny village, In big cities its not common to go 2 blocks without seeing a small green gorcer type deal.

lawyers offices here do...my bff is a paralegal ... (see how i worked that out ;) eh eh?? ) lol.
and we go for lunch often.

usually here its like locally owned businesses or something like a dentist they usually close for 1 hour though like 12-1 pm

Fair enough that, some places in britain did shut for an hour too, though high volume businesses would have a lunch shift or a morning and afternoon shift.
Im curious what do paralegals eat?

They say that in a gold rush the people making money are mostly the folks selling pickaxes, lanterns, and mules to the miners. Maybe you should open a 24 hour grow shop that's also stocked with American imports.

Medical offices, veterinarians, lawyers, accountants....basically professional office types close for lunch, some close for an hour, others for 2-3 hrs. All other businesses generally stay open and the employees have staggered lunches. USA-Calif

The supermarkets are rubbish and the customer is treated like an idiot over here. There is no choice of items, I have to go to several supermarkets to get everything I really need.

As for the siesta, I just take a leisurely sleep between 2-5pm because everything is closed, unless you are central and even then some are closed. So usually my day can start in the afternoon regarding shopping etc.

2 grow shops since yesterday don't have PH 4.01 and I need to calibrate. That's ridiculous!

The markets here are good, as seen in the pics but Klite come on, stay out the sweet shops. Pure E numbers and colours. Yuk!

Looool that doesnt surprise me at all! Shops here work on what people ask for, 90% of people caaaaaaannot grow for shit here lets face it... What surprises me the most is that people are going through the trouble of getting a small closet for personal or whatever and then hardly look after it right.

Lol piss off! Chuches are the best thing ever, i (over)indulge in them twice a month though trying to cut it to one...

Open for lunch are you kidding me , in Detroit business start shutting down for the day directly after lunch before the crack whores crawl out of the sewers all escape from new york style .

I saw a dude wearing a football helmet on 8 mile last week around lunch time if that counts .

Have you been to grow city in Terrassa? Houseplant is probably the biggest and best in the centre. My friends have quite a good seed shop. We need some more grow shops here.

Did you know that shops have to pay €200 tax to open on a Sunday and all the Pakistanis are exempt from tax so they are always open?!?
