Do Seeds Shrink?

Curious to know if anyone has seen this kind of thing before.
I have a variety that I decided to make more seed of. I took pollen from the best male and pollinated a nice resinous female early on in flower. I did it carefully, and only a few select buds were seeded. Now harvest has come, and I'd say I have about 30 - 40 seeds, but something I noticed ... the seeds are BIG. Truthfully, I have never seen cannabis seeds this large; some are 6 - 7 millimeters long. They are big beautiful seeds.

Will they shrink a fair bit as they dry out further? I haven't been able to find much scientific discussion on this online. The seeds are definitely much larger than the seeds of the parent plants. I can also say that I have noticed this in past years when I made seeds.
Any seed experts out there?

Nothing more? Are you sure?
I've seen different seeds of different varieties and yeah there can be a lot of variation. But seeds from the same strain? I guess environmental issues can influence the size the seeds will grow to. It just struck me that the seeds were so much bigger than those of the parent plants, and this isn't the first time I've made seeds and noticed this.

I always thought it was genetically based, i've observed that sativa strains usually have large seeds, and indicas have small seeds. But if you're saying you got bigger seeds (randomly) out of a plant which you've already seeded before, that's pretty interesting...
