Do these early 'mini buds' grow bigger than this? Are they smokable?

These calyx were the first flowers to appear roughly 3 weeks ago and now the flower is brown with many trichomes. If they're ready, can I try smoking them as a small sample of the taste? Or am I just being a newbie idiot because they're far from ready?

I can't imagine it would hurt to smoke them but I doubt it is anything more than an "too" early representation

Oh shit are they growing seeds?? My plant has lots of flowers and a decent cola but these are the only tiny bits of flower that are brown.

Ok thats good, there are no males around so I got a bit confused. Sorry for being an idiot about this, its my first run but I've learned a lot so far. I only grow for medicinal purposes rather than recreational, so micro dosing is my thing.
