Do these Look Over watered or under-watered??? (pictures of my baby's)

you really cant tell from the picture. both over and underwatering (for a few hours) will display similar symptoms. you need to get a moisture meter ($5, wal-mart) and check the soil. the scale should be 1-10 if it reads between 3-5 you're fine. the right-now solution however is to feel the soil with your finger. if the first 1/2-1" feels moist but not wet, you're fine. if wet, overwater... if dry, you get the idea.

also the edges of the leaf are curling under.

is your temp consistantly around 75f? i had plants that looked like that due to cold nights. they were stunted for about a week but recovered nicley afer i got the temp regulated

How much are you watering?

If the soil is still wet or damp an inch or so down, you dont really need to water it..

About all you can do, is not water it.
If you have watered it in the last 24 hours that is.

Then follow what scias suggested

Most the time people are overwatering more then underwatering..
We all love our plants, and want to give them as much lovin as possible..

We forget thats its still a weed, and therefore dont need as much love as we like to give

if the lights are on atleast 18 hours, I wouldnt think low temps should be a problem..
Unless they are really low temps, like 65 or less..

Its something to keep in mind for sure..

No stretching though, looks all good otherwise..

They are under 24/0 and the temp is consistently at 80 degrees. the soil feels very dry untill 3 inches down and then i feel a very little moisture.

When did u last water?
Sounds abit dry. BUT not too dry.
Maybe a little misting wouldnt hurt on the days when you are not watering..
After watering, I will just mist once or 2 times a day..
Then actually give it a drink every 2-3 days or so..
Depending, or as needed..

Is it in a pot big enough? Make sure its not getting rootbound.
After you water next, let it sit about 10-20 mins then just turn the pot upsidedown into your palm..
Check out how the roots are doing..
This will not hurt it in the least, and if you dont see roots growing everywhere.. Then just pop it back into the same pot..

Mine look abit droopy, and others said I was watering too much.. I was sure I wasnt, so I let it dry out a few days, no misting or anything..
Then since I've been using nutes for about 4 weeks others suggested it needed flushing..
Again I didnt think this was the trouble, since its so young, and I've only been giving it 1/3 strength nutes..

BUT just incase after I let the medium dry pretty good, one day I noticed it getting a bit limp, and then I knew it was time to water..

So I flushed with 6.5 pH'd water, let it sit a bit.. Then checked out the roots..
I could see roots growing at the bottom of my pot, so then I transplanted..
Gave it its first 2/3 strength nute dose..

by the next morning the thing was rocking hardcore.. Looked tip top and has been growing like mad ever since..

Mine was always growing good, but I had some discoloration around my leaf tips and edges..
So I posted a few pics, and got a few responses..
Took their advice even though I wasnt 100% sure it was going to help my problem..
(I stopped watering completely for a few days(till I knew it absoultly needed it), and flushed out the medium as was recommended)

Since all is well.. No discoloration, no drooping, and nothing but greenage and bushy growth all around..

In the end I honestly think it was just getting abit rootbound.
BUT since I did all 3 things its hard to tell exactly what was causing the purplish discoloration..
I DO know it was in need of transplanting..

actually looking at you plant, I guess its much too young to be root bound yet.. LOL so I guess scratch that.. Must be the watering or possible pH..

Just wondering what kinda lights u rocking?

The PH is 7.3 in the soil that i am using. My lights are red and blue 42 watt cfl's with a lot of reflectors.
Ya lol it cant be root bound however, i just watered them after 1 1/2 days without water. the soil was completely dry so i am hopeing that my mix of water and 3% h202 will work.

throw some lemon juice in there to take the soil ph to 6.5-6.8 7.3 will cause nutrient lock-up

ive been using earth juice natural ph up and down. works very well, get those if you can

acctually, i just ph'd the run water and it said my ph was 6.8. however my alkalinity is high?????? WTF.............

its ok.. It will live as long as you are pHing your watering solution..
Lime would be a good idea if u gont have any..
It will stop your soil from going over 7

ok 1, get the pH down to about 6.5ish. 2, get your temp lower, around 75 will be fine. and 3, dont water until 3 inches down the soil is dry
