Big yield under CFL isnt THAT hard. I have a Big Bang i am EXPECTING 3 Z's off of.
Depending how big your space is- Grow in a 3 gallon (min) container. Use a Fabric Pot (smart pot) or a fabric grocery bag works awesome, i use em. Bags promote MUCH faster root growth, way more O2 to the roots. More roots means bigger yield.
LST the plants ALOT, train those girls. bend down all the branches so they grow out, not up. (i got 21 tops on a 8 inch tall plant). Bend the top(s) down BELOW the other branches, this will change hormone levels, causing the plant to put equal energy into the branch as the real top. More 'tops' means more yield.
I like to trim the large fan leaves that block light. Most weed plants like a little bit of defoliation. Alot of people Lolipop (cut off) the lower branches to send more energy to the top of the plant to get bigger top buds. I dont, but i use the small buds for wax/bho. If you want fatter colas, lolipop it.
Top you plant at least once. Turn 1 top cola into two. FIM it you will get 2 tops, or even 4 maybe. Ive never gotten 4 but some do. You can even top the ends of branches too, depending on how long u plan to veg.
Use as much light as possible (obvious one). Use SIDE LIGHTING. Keep CFL's pretty close to the plant. i keep 2-4 inches from mine. 5000-6500k for VEG, 2700k for flowering(mix a little 6500k in there too).
PH your water every time you water. I never used to and ALWAYS got too high PH about a week into flower.
Flush the plant at least once during veg, before switching to flowering nutes. Flush again at week 5 of flowering with PH'd water 6.2-6.8. \
Let the soil DRY before watering, i used to stunt my plants by overwatering all the time. Not too much of an issue with the fabric pots/bags.
They sell all kinds of bud boosters and big bud crap, i bet it all doesnt do much. Mostly its molasses lol, and cane sugars and carbs. Add 1tsp of molasses per gallon every watering, or every second watering. keeps the soil microbes happy and alive, keeping ph levels steady, allowing for better root growth and nutrient absorption, which leads to big yields.
2 weeks before harvest, flush the plants out good to remove all remaining nutrients for a smoother smoke.
Another quick tip i learned from too many f$%k ups during transplanting. If you use a Solo or plastic cup for your seedling, u can cut the bottom 3/4 off of the cup so its like a flap. That way, when u see roots at the bottom of the cup, u can cut the rest of the bottom off and stick the cup right into your new 3 gallon or bigger pot. No transplant stress whatsoever. Excellent tip for Autos to avoid stunting their growth. I just tried an experiment where i have 2 diesels in solo cup, one was removed for transplant, the other i cut the bottom off the cup, and the one removed from transplant has been stunted for almost a week now, while the other didnt even know anything happened and just continued growing, uninterrupted.
good luck, peace
