agreed. i have fought with more christians over this, then a lil' bit. dig this jax, this IS a spiritual war, and false prophets abound. it's not about the people, we are only human. and if more christians were conscious of the damage they do by their actions, the thread with the poll would have a higher percentage of believers. do you know i had a christian (for the 2nd time in my life) tell me that Adam & Eves were created for every race? yep. it relieves them of the sickening notion that "others" are in their fam. real talk. don't get me started about the child molesters. but we are not to focus on man. you would never develop a relationship with Your Creator, that way. it IS, and always has been about faith. PEOPLE are about that. you know that religion was used to control (enslave peopel). you are too sharp not to. as a matter of fact, i think you mentioned it. with that said, those individuals are not following Christ (who is God's Word made flesh so mankind could SEE the exampleTrue but religion pretends to not be about that and it most certainly is about that.

Why else would something give free will, only to void it?

i have an obligation to state that Our Creator is the ONE & ONLY. listen to roseman speak about tasting the love, and being called "friend". when you truly experience His presence (many christians have NO clue about this) there is no amount of logic or reason that can stand up to that. i wish i could relay some of my more awesome experiences, but i am reluctant due to identity reasons.I agree with the SPIRIT of your post

this whole discussion, right now, with others reading, is not coincidence. there is something here for someone, maybe me. but the fact is that there is only ONE way to The Father, and that is through His Son Christ. The reason? Jesus is The Word (of God) manifested in the flesh. in other words, you must KNOW (personally) The Word of God in order to fulfill God's will for your life. His will ushers us into eternity in paradise.
i petition The Father, on behalf of this brother, with other believers in agreement, for spiritual revelation and discernment. open his spiritual eyes Father, and make him your own, to TESTIFY of the TRUTH and transformation he shall experience. in Jesus' name...Amen.

Yes, it's a circular logic at best but understand that when the Bible was coalesced most folks could not read. the text was spoken through the church, not read at home. There have been several attempts to clean it up, but the die had been cast by then. One of the things that drive Lutherans crazy is all the folklore. They would just as soon get rid of all folklore in the Bible. Problem is there isn't a whole lot left. It's a conundrum.

Don't you see the problem with that? Since the Bible was written by a bunch of anonymous people who never met or heard of Jesus, it seems like folly to then proclaim otherwise. At least to those who have actually researched it. Allegorical writing is inherently not valid on its face.

The Bible was written, originally, by people inspired by The Holy Spirit. i know how this works, but can't explain it logically. should Our Creator, of all life, be that easy to understand? should man be entrusted with TOTAL understanding? if so, then tell me you divulge everything to your kids. we will have all the answers one day. it won't hurt you to fake it 'til you make it. it may prove to be a wise decision. eternity is a looooooong time toDon't you see the problem with that? Holy spirit...that is simply made up by the church as a defense to the HUGE problems with the bible. It still doesn't explain how Jesus got by saul (Paul) and then reappears in gospels quite obviously pulled directly from paul... Oh My.

Even if Christ existed I don't see much in his teachings that talk about church. The failure is not in the teachings of your savior but in the establishment of an institution. Church is an absolute failure, maybe you should read the Bible yourself and recognize the hypocrisy of your beloved Church.

That's the thing... Religion really fucks it up for "God".. and Im not talking about the Christian God... Im talking IF there was a creator of the universe, religion has fucked up peoples thoughts because of all of these bullshit stories....
If you take out all the mythical stories, apple, eve, adam, jesus, God looking down on us, care, love etc....
And take out the "hell/heaven stipulations" like must believe in Jesus, must not do bad, hell, and all of the judging....
And just leave it at a bone stock "higher being, created universe and made all this so".... But stop it right there, dont take it any further.
THAT itself is still very unlikely and unbelievable... however, it holds much more water than before religion steps in to muddy the waters.
I think people are beginning to notice that religion is muddying the waters... and ultimately religion will kill itself. Religion is so tainted and so delusional that people (with these days of higher education) are catching on and religion will wind up being its own demise.

I agree with you. I find it is almost impossible to even discuss G*D because most people have differing ideas of what that encompasses. I see G*D as the point of creation. It doesn't mean a living G*D which is watching you. Man's narcissism gets in the way because we think we are special. We are not. just a cog in the wheel of nature. We could disappear tomorrow (someday we will anyways) and nature won't even blink. It will simply fill the gap.
