Imo...Having guidelines is the best options no matter how you spin it. It’s more of a fail safe/guide to ensure efficiency.
To each his own...but I do believe giving newer growers ideas and guidelines is important. I’m still new to this and always leanrning more each day even if I think I know enough. There’s alway more to learn and I’m glad to share my experiences with fellow growers.
Keep notes - in detail, for every run.
Simply put an X on a cal. in the grow for the flip time......
The idea of when to start counting is as variable as the breeders giving the info. Been doing this so long I can basically tell when I got about 3 weeks left. Simply by looking at the plant. You gain that in time, if your observant. As for the "stretch" ending. That's easy to learn by seeing...
I quit the boosting of P&K - mid bloom, long, long ago. So with that point, I don't have any need to track time.....It's plenty apparent when the last week hits. This is of course pertaining to any synthetic run I may do.
For the bulk of my growing-organic.
Well, it simply doesn't matter how long it blooms for......
I read the plant, not the days.....Plants speak - you learn to "listen"......Once you hear the plant. You do better, and get better faster. Relying on some nutrient line to tell you when to "do something" with the nutrient mix. Is a crutch in my book at this point.
Besides, much on the bottle nutrient charting is bogus and not really for cannabis, or simply is way overkill. If you blindly follow the charting, and think your getting the best result.....You
could be quite wrong....
Now you have my opinion in brief detail.
