I can increase the size of my canopy square foot by using 600s without exceeding my power limitations.
I can have the lights closer to the canopy without burning the plants which provides more lumens to the plants for fatter buds.
Do you agree or am I just convincing myself :)
What has been your experience?

600w, buts it all depends, some times 1000w is better. Depending brand of CFL, over all quality, etc...

I find this an odd question

Not all 600/1000s are created equal

A 600 with poor red spectrum is worse than a 1000 with better red spectrums

It is in your best interest to learn about lighting

You didn't bother to provide any input, but instead nitpick.
Odd, seriously? I can think of a lot more odd questions to ask.
This is a "what do you prefer question"? Pretty straight forward.
I have been growing indoors since 2008, I was just looking to get other experienced grows perspectives. I have obviously done my own research according to some examples I originally provided. Your always welcome to refute them! as that would add something that is actually somewhat constructive. Nitpicking and pointing your finger doesn't get us anywhere.
Most grow bulbs should be designed in a way that promotes plant growth and growers know this and they buy those bulbs with enhanced spectrums. If they don't they are likely not experienced.
Everyone knows no two things are created equally if you want to get that specific. No two bulbs are exactly the same. Some bulbs fail sooner then others. But this is a general question and that level of critique is unwarranted.
How would you normalize this question while keeping it as simple and straight forward as possible?
Answer the original question with some level of insight/depth.
It is in your best interest not to be a nitpicker. I know plenty about lighting, this was an opinion pole of what growers personally prefer.

Well I'm able to run a single 1k over 2 6's in one room with all my other crap in there (I'm just talking about flowering lights) on that breaker thing..Im no electrician..the ballasts use elec and its more expensive to have two also.. the 1k due to the inverse square law will always have more lighting down low giving denser nugs especially on bushes. I run cool tubes and heat has never been an issue. umm I feel like I'm forgetting a few pros..Im trying to walk my dog though

My guy at the local grow store put it like this to me... I asked why the cost of the 600W bulbs is more than that of the 1000W, even though obviously the 1000W is bigger. Plainly put, they sell WAY more 1000W bulbs. This is one of the larger stores here in Denver. From what I understand, virtually all of the commercial grows use 1000W setups.
