Do You Prefer Taste Over High Or Vice Versa?

I prefer great tasting weed that fucks my face........

if it's got taste it usually packs a punch.

Good question. The whole taste thing is a relatively new phenom. Back in The Day, occassionally you'd come across some weed that tasted good, but that was just a nice side goody. I still feel pretty much the same way. Im looking for the high and if it tastes nice too, that's great. But taste without potency? Not for me.

For another thing, I usually smoke in a small glass pipe I dont clean all that often....so, NO weed tastes good.

Sometime around 1969, somebody stashed a bale of Colombian under a chicken coop for four months while he was in jail.....and man it tasted and smelled JUST like chicken shit. However, it was still kick-ass weed. We just re-named it, "Super Chicken Shit" and smoked it. After the first hit, you didnt notice it too much, LOL.

A friend brought me some Trainwreck from California he paid 400 bucks/oz for. it was beautiful to look at, nice round golden balls, tasted lovely, but compared to my C-99, it fell short in potency. Granted, my Cindy didnt look taste or smell as good, but the little sample of the TW he left with me is still in the drawer while my bag of Cindy is dwindling daily.

Of course, if it tastes great AND kicks ass......

But I prefer high over taste, not that I don't appreciate the latter's complexities. If the worst comes to the worst, there's always flavored papers if it tasted that bad.

That's interesting. I only had sour d once, but I thought it was close to the top. I dont even remember what it tasted like. I just remember the head kick.

This Aurora Indica tastes slightly like the scent of overripe fruit, like a berry packing factory or something. Just like it smells, but also has a distinct taste of 'crystals'. You know when you pack a bowl of kief from your grinder. Or like nice blond hash.



Very fruity, but pungent at the same time. Plus it does a decent number on my bean, and body. Heady at first, then heavy stone creeps up on ya.

That's the kinda shit I like. Tastes great, and also does what it's supposed to do.

It all tastes like shit so far as i'm concerned so i'll take the high please.

But you guys are kinda miss understanding the question...im saying if the weed was atleast avg, decent bud, but tasted fire,..would you take that sack over a sack that got you flat out stoned in one or 2 big hits, but tasted like donkey dicks. most of you are talking as if the weed was str8 mex and wouldn't get a noobie high, that wasent what i was saying, cuz of course your gonna want a smoke that at the very least gets you a lil high...think that goes for everyone

Putting it like that kinda makes the question a little more tricky for me.

I would say I would go for the taste in this case. Donkey dick doesn't sound very tasty.

I do have a problem with smoking really shitty tasting weed though. It can be a deciding factor on whether or not I purchase or grow that type again.

I've smoked weed that has tastes like shit but it has gotten me like, paraletic. But i do like flavour..I like cheese.. mmm

i like taste and a mellow high. i am big on taste, i like to smoke greens sometimes and give my bf the rest of the bbowl.

Taste isn't critical to me. For some reason I find that when high I can barely taste/smell anything. Don't get my wrong though, I don't care for harsh.

I'll smoke donkey dicks any day of the week long as I get high in two hits

I got some donkey dick smelling stuff. It's smooth as hell, and actually tastes not bad, but the smell makes me wanna vomit.


It's fuckin' killer chronic, but the bags smell like a unclean Thai restaurant or like rotten bok choy or something.

I pick strains that taste good and !@&! me up.. why compromise both? There are plenty to choose from.
