Do you still buy CDs?

I listen to most of my music on YouTube through my stereo. I haven't bought a CD in years. But I know that bands still make recordings....on CDs I presume? If most people are like me and don't buy actual recordings, then how do bands make money? Is it all through downloads? And what role do record labels play IF that's the case?

It's all live shows and merch now. The content is virtually free.

I do but I also have a really nice 5-CD changer stereo I fished out of a dumpster, it shakes the walls at 1/4 volume.

I mostly buy stuff from my very favorite bands, otherwise I'd have some crazy hoard of CD's.

I don’t buy new ones but don’t throw away my old ones for some reason.

I don’t even know if my pickup has a CD player. I stream music while driving, etc. I think the last time I purchased a CD was like ~2006.

I recently stopped working, so I took my office CD collection to the riverhouse where I don't have wifi. Going through my crap when I was cleaning out my office, I only found 3 or 4 used CD's that I had bought in the last few years.

Funny thing is, with 500'ish CD's to choose from, I almost always listen to John Hiatt's Perfectly Good Guitar in the bedroom, and a mix tape (CD) heavy with Dylan, the Band, etc in the media room.

where do i put this fucking cd thingy? lol, i managed to throw away the rca leads from my sterio/cd/record and tape player/recorder
