Kinda hard to get retrained or learn a new trade when you have no money and nobody is willing to hire. Trapped in a town with over 40% unemployment right now. i know how to DO many things but you have to have a license for some, get a degree regardless of whether you can do it or not just to get a job, get permits, etc.

Had a buddy who is in a similar situation and during a local parade he walked around with bottled water on ice to make a few bucks. Got shut down. No permit. He used to mow lawns for extra cash. Got shut down. No business license. Hell, you can't even really collect cans anymore around here without getting cited for theft or trespassing or some other BS charge.

But then, i guess i'm just a lazy bastard who wants everything given to him according to you.

i am actually in the process of purchasing an oxygen generator and concentrator, since you mentioned it. i will use it to fill my oxygen bottles for glass blowing, until the robots take over.

Can you realistically expect that from everybody?

"everybody can't be in the 1%.. That's mathematically impossible.."

This system makes it seem like social economic classes are inevitable, a premise I would argue is debatable and I disagree with.

Washington states is suffering HUGE losses on the apple crops because all the illegal immigrants have been kicked out and nobody is there to pick the apples.

can you pick an apple? got enough for a bus ticket?

i didn't think so. ;)

Or just take out the people trying to steal your money...

Meth heads robbing people
Gang members robbing people
Broke people robbing people
People robbing people

We don't need banks and government takin money out of our pockets too
At least the other ones have the courtesy to wait until a time of great need.

The Government just takes it NO MATTER WHAT...ALWAYS.

i know how to pick one but i don't know how i would hold up physically. Trying to get a job here local through a temp service but i'm not sure i can do it physically (warehouse work). Sure as hell gonna try though :)

As for money for a ticket to Wash, no i don't.

they were supposed to come from oakland and san francisco to protest at berkeley at 8 am this morning. they showed a wide angle shot at 8:45 and there were 7 students and a teaching sitting on the steps. some dude in the background pulling some moves on a freshman as well. looked like she was falling for it. :hump:


they moved to a new park in oakland but the local homeless are pissed because none of these people are even from oakland. they have set up tents but no one is fucking with them, yet.


i changed the channel to the price is right, :)

This will drive the price of apples higher which will in turn make the companies who need them to be picked offer a better wage. Just wait and see.
