What, you don't think cops get off work and go home and don't have the internet or computers? Haha. People like you deserve what's coming to them.

These sites are monitored to some degree by cops of different levels. I know of three busts that were the direct result of posting pictures where stupid, but easily enough done, errors were made when taking them that gave the cops anything from a lead to work with to an exact address.
In the town I live outside of a guy had a plant he was about to harvest and wanted a really good picture of it, not the typical grow room picture. He moved it into a living room or family room to take the picture and then posted it.
A local cop noticed a picture of a little girl on the wall behind and to the side of the plant and recognized her. It was a friend of his daughter who had been to his house many times.
Another bust came from someone posting a picture of their basement grow. When taking the high resolution picture he managed to get part of his furnace in the picture. When the picture was enlarged you could easily read the sticker on the furnace from the heat-a/c business that installed and serviced it. It had the business name, address and telephone number. With that lead and a little investigating the guy was busted.
The third was a backyard grow. Individual plants/plots were shown but the person wanted a picture of the entire backyard and took it from an upstairs window of his house or maybe from a second story deck or maybe he got on the roof. But the picture not only got the entire back yard. Behind it you could see a two lane road and a set of power lines and the Atlantic Coastline. In the thread he had mentioned what State he lived in and after that it was just tracking power lines very close to the coast where there was also a single two lane road and where the coastline matched the picture and then fly over the backyards in the area.
I am not saying that there are Federal, State, County and or Local cops always monitoring every grow site. But some from some level or another will check in and have a look around at least now and then.

Some cops cruise these forums, and many others, looking for current practices just like some growers cruise government sites looking for what the cops are up to. its like watching the old "spy vs spy" cartoons on MAD.

why?
cause its too much work in something they are not interested in, when they can just out and profile people based on their appearances and check up on people they allready know.
some cops do go online, but they are mostly stoners themselves.

I've been to quite a few public functions with them and I can tell you, you are so far from the truth it's funny. Most the guys are my age or at least 5 years younger than me. 3/4 of them either train MMA locally or semi-pro box on the weekend. Most of them are pretty cool, in that they don't think marijuana is something to arrest someone for unless it's related to violence.
I will tell you this, those guys are FUCKING SHARP MENTALLY. I know this first hand. It's the old-timers that are chubby and bark down orders. But DO NOT under-estimate the ones doing the arrests. They'll mentally fuck with you and know exactly what you are doing.

Imo I deffinately think there is law enforcement on this site. Why wouldnt there be? Because all the cops amd everyone else are too busy?? No. people on here talk in intimate detail about all sorts of things that law enforcement deems illegal, some that completely is. I just saw a thread where guys were selling real drugs through mail order like crack and meth and blow and pills n shit. Fuckin crazy! If I were a cop, or a smarter form of law enforcement, I would be fishing on here. I deffinately think some sort of enforcement fishes these sites.

Cops are everywhere, the sooner you accept that the better off you'll all be... If I was the law, I would surf here just to see whats be said, it's like 'listining to the word on the street in the '70s'. Even if no incriminating information is obtained, you have to admit, we open a pretty wide window into our world. If an undercover cop wanted to learn some basic street info, here would be the place...

It's more than likely that yes, cops do visit these forums. If they've time to be trawling around youtube trying to catch dumb criminals, such as the weed dealer who used youtube to try and get customers, then it stands to reason they are actively aware of a forum such as this. Doesnt' take a genius to create some bots to trawl around picking up on various terms used. Most likely no need for the actual cop to be sat logged in, they have hefty IT budget's and departments for a reason.
