Second that. Before you get into it sheetrock that bitch and you can breathe a little easier.Hang some drywall... close up your side real good then do your thing ..
I third it. sheetrock it and make it look like it's part of the rest of the garage. stealth grow room with a carbon filter. there is also a way of framing the room that makes it more sound proof then a normal room. you frame with twice as many 2x4's with 2x6's for the top and bottom, then alternate the studs between the inside and outside of the wall. the idea behind it is when sound hits the inside sheetrock, it vibrates the studs inside the wall, then normally would pass on that vibration to the outside of the wall. this new method, the inside and outside sheetrock are both mounted on separate studs, nothing connected, so the majority of the vibrations don't get passed on to the other side of the wall. make sense? then you also can weave insulation between the studs to mask noise even more.Second that. Before you get into it sheetrock that bitch and you can breathe a little easier.
This guy is on the right track, what's the point of risking it. If you do rent, don't even risk it.
