I read it too and they didn't lose. The judge decided that they had to sue individually, which if they were working at Walmart means that the majority of them did not have enough money to proceed. The judge also ruled that the payroll records were inadmissible. Sounds like the judge got a nice bonus.

But Attorney Bonsignore lost his case at the Middlesex Superior Court level. And even if they took it individually to court they would still have to win. So, they lost that case!

Aside from it being stupid and wrong it seemed like half the people in court when I was fighting a dui and rescheduled many times were there for petty crimes like that.
Most of them were under $30, stupid little things like fishing lures, hair brush, scizzors was actually one of them, etc and the cost was average 1-2 years of probation 500-1,000 fine, and a very embarrasing mark on their record. Nobody got out of there with less than $500 owing even if they were homeless and just needed to survive and stole an apple or food.
That's a lot to risk.

I stole from walmart yesterday. it just happened so fast. i didnt go in there with the intention of stealing. But it just felt right.
My gf and i had to run in there real quick to get coke, sunglasses, and worms. She went one way for the drinks and sunglasses, and i went to sporting goods to get the worms/canadian nightcrawlers. As im walking to the front to meet up with her and pay, i see that she is waiting for me and has already paid. So out of nowhere, i just start walking towards her as if i had already paid. She asked me"did u pay for that already" and i was like "yep" and we walked out, and i was like" i totally stole those worms".
if i paid them 3.25$ for worms i woulda felt like they were robbing me. so being a gangsta, i had to do what i had to do.
That dirt that the worms are in sure does look like my plants would love it. Would this be a bad idea to mix with my soil?
