that's what I mean. Chinese invasion comingDepends on your meaning of depending. If it based on what you said, then slightly. If you mean on any level, absolutely. Let's say every microchip failed at once, not talking emp whipping out all electronics, just micro chip products. We would be sent back
to the turn of the 20'th century, hell, maybe even to just before.

they use computers too?
I'd have to say, that any electrical device, with a switch, made in the last 15 years, has a micro-processor in it.Wilksey do you understand how much of your life is governed by computers..? I don't think you do...
I still send carrier pigeons from time to time because I refuse to be a conformist.
did you get my smoke signals last week...i got your carrier pigeon

I fully understand the significant role computers play in our society, however, the computer is just another tool designed to take advantage of electric power, and quite often needs support from other tools that also need electric power.
Cut the power and the computer is useless, as is every other tool the computer is tasked with controlling.
Look at indoor growing as an example. While you can say that a computer is needed to manage and direct power at the electric company side, you could always avoid the electric company and run a generator for your power needs. You can run your lights, cooling, and venting without a computer, but not without electricity produced by some means in your span of control, ie fuel, solar, hydro, etc...
While many, if not most, of the tools we use today are controlled by some type of computer, many are still functional without the computer, but not without electricity, and this over-reliance on electricity will prove problematic in the future IMO.
