Do you trim your plants wet or dry?

I recently learned some people don't trim until their plants have been hung & dried. I've always done it when I chop em down, but it's a sticky mess.
Which do you prefer and why?

Wet for the bigger fan leaves , right before I jar I cut off the sugar leaf that I keep.

I do a rough trim rite when I harvest then I tighten the bush up right before cure ......did the dry trim a few times and .....I'm good il leave that to people with good eye sight and who have more patience than me ......trimming is only fun for 4 minutes no matter what

I do it all wet. So then when it comes time to jar it all i need to do is any little last min clean up.

If you do it once its dry you run the risk of losing a bunch of tri croms.

I did both and my personal preferance is wet.

Theres no "right or wrong" way its all on what you like.

It's a curious fact, but I'm of the belief that butchering fresh leaves causes the stomata to prematurely close, retarding gas exchange and hydrolysis. To be clear, this only applies to leaves whose [imbedded in bud] stems cannot be reached for severing.

I tried both. I found it was easier to trim immediately. When I let the bud hang dry for a few days; the leaves droop toward the ground and it makes it hard to trim.

I dont have much experience, only been 'seriously' growing for a little over a year. My first harvest I did almost totally wet, few branches after it dried. Then I did the fan leaves at harvest, and sugar after hanging.

Since that time, Ive done totally dry, even the big fan leaves. I seem to be able to keep more smell/taste this way - but it could very well be other variables at work. I like the look of wet trim and I think its WAY easier to do (even dealing with the sticky mess), but I like to smoke dry trim. I really wonder if Im losing more trichomes doing it dry though... I need a trim bin.

I seriously do not enjoy trimming, though.... before I grew, a night of trimming a mountain of buds sounded like a blast, but as indacouch said - 4 minutes and then it becomes WORK. Scissor hash, friends, food and music make it bearable though, haha.

Ill put the extra effort in to trim dry if it gives me a better product... really dont know with any certainty which is better route though - this is just what Ive done so far.

Missed this before posting - I think there may be some truth to this...

Dry trim because it's the only way I have found to keep my girls smelling, tasting and smoking great.

I don't have a pile of trichomes on my trim table either, and I always scrape with a card to see how much I've lost.... Not much!

To each his own- when I wet trim it smells like hay before its dry and I'm an unhappy farmer.

I trim dry. Its a pretty big difference in smell for me. I just can't get the aroma when wet trimming. I remember my first grow. I grew 3 plants in a 2x4 tent under a 400W light and it was fun to trim. Now I'm pulling 3200 watts and need to set aside a weekend for it. Peeling resin off your hands, scrapping your scissors every 5 minutes, working your butt off finishing two plants and realizing you have about 12 more to go! I'm ashamed to say it but I can't think of any task I like less then trimming.
