I've learned that mental illness is a polarizing subject. There's a certain type of person that has a complete an utter inability to understand or sympathize with the condition.
Typically these people suffer from very low EQ.

It is a possibility that mental illness runs in the family. That's kind of why I'm worried.Suicide runs in the family, and if history repeats, I should be next. Of course I'm not going to let that happen to me for the sake of my son, but I'm not going to let it happen to my son either.

well, good for you cat!! i've seen many families that cut and run, when serious health issues come knocking. my neighbor and his mom, have to totally care for dad. he can still use the toilet, but you have to carry him to and from. i totally admire/respect them for that. most families these days, just don't have what it takes to care for their fam. plus, it's really a huge chore, yet some pull it off. that's real love!
