Does anyone have experience with Spider Farmer LED units?

I run mine at full power from seed, apart from it talking me some time to find the ideal hight from the canopy, I've had no problems.
Interesting. My plants all get the same fertilizer mix from the same reservoir at the same time. The only variance is the type of light over each group of plants. I'll have to test the waters a bit more to figure this out. I'll poke around and do some reading on the forums also. It may be as simple as I just had the light too low. The wire hangars that come with the unit would be nice if you have extremely high ceilings in the room you're growing in, but if you're in a tent those wire hangars drop the light down another 12" unnecessarily wasting a foot of head space in the tent.

Right now I'm calling it operator error until I understand more. Me thinks I just had the lights way too low at full power. Also, to be fair the light was only 12" above my hash plant mother at full power. That should probably explain the intense leaf twisting. The other seedlings were at least 12" lower on TV trays in the tent. I now have the seedlings on the ground in a saucer to get them as far away from the light as possible. This is kind of a good problem to have I suppose. The lights just kicks ass and I underestimated the output of both units. These definitely are not the corny under powered LED's from 10 years ago. Use with caution :)

I got on alot better with my plants when I raised it to 24inch above my canopy, I've noticed my plants are extremely dense and bushy, my tent is 2.2m tall so I've got a bit of space to play with.

Good looking out there maurice. I don't know why I never tried one of those lights. Great recommendation. Nice price too. I will say even with the great deal I scored on Alibaba $500 is a hit to the piggy bank. I have it mounted in my veg tent currently, but no way I can waste a $500 light in nursery tent. As soon as I cut clones and get my flower room prepped for another cycle I'm mounting it in there to compliment my existing 2 1000w hortilux hps lights and add 4 more plants bringing my total to 16.

I agree with you on going the traditional route for a tent. CMH or T5 produces a beautiful spectrum for vegging plants, and you won't have to leave an arm or a leg at the checkout counter. My 8 lamp 4' T5 rocks and the plants really seem to love the spectrum. As a matter of fact, as much as I do love my quantum board I will be installing another 8 lamp hydrofarm T5 in the nursery tent when I transfer the new LED unit into the flower room. For $178 and free shipping you you can't beat the lumen output and coverage. Hopefully as the manufacturing becomes more efficient the prices will drop dramatically in the years to come. As it stands a 4' high output 8 lamp T5 still rocks the nursery.

Maurice, I have two 2' 8 lamp high output T5 units. When I mount them side by side together in the same nursery tent they just do not have the same output as the 4' unit. Any sense to make of that or are my eyes just playing tricks on me?
F24 bulbs are a little less efficient than F54 bulbs. with the new horticultural bulbs you can get as much deep red as you want for flowing

That Alibaba light definitely looks like a beast.

I ended up going with Alibaba over Spider Farmer too. I found a cheaper seller and got 2 220w for €285 including shipping. I would have paid 270 for 1 200 watt light from Spider Farmer so I had to do it.

I decided to just let the light rip at 100% in my 5x5 nursery tent. So far so good. I'm going to post pictures later to show the difference in node structure between the plants under the T5 and the plants under the 660w LED. The nodes are extremely tight and the plants are all turning into bushes. Even my clones in 1 gallon dollar store trash can hempies are turning into little bushes. It's kinda funny to see this row of 1 gallon trash cans that all have these bushy little banzai tree looking plants. They're so short, but so bushy. Drinking coffee. I'll post some pics shortly.

Yeah I like to believe it's the intensity of the led, making plants smaller but very Bushy, I have three fem photoperiods going, I vegged for 11 weeks thinking they were autoflowers, they are really big now that I've switched to 12/12.

This is the 5x5 under a T5. Those 3 in the front are runts. They are actually stacked on top of 5 gallon buckets. The plants behind those 3 are very large. Enough so that I'm running out of space and they have to go into the flower room this weekend. Beautiful and lush, but look at the next 2 pictures at how much tighter the nodes are.

And this is the 5x5 with the 660w LED. Tight nodes. All bush.

And up close.
