today at a garage sale i bought 365 peices of antique silverplated silverware no complete sets but a couple are close. i also got two old wooden silverware chests with them. i spent 20 bucks on it. they are not in perfect shape but they arent bad they all have petina on it. the dates range from 1779 to 1941 so if someone knows i have all the brands written down too if anyone knows

you should melt them down in a forge, the different density of the metals will let the iron float and the silver sink. let it cool and you will have a cylinder with all the silver at the bottom.

that sounds like a lot of work just to find a forge lol

with the profits you make from the silver plated silverware you can invest in a bunch of the gold plated buffalo nickels they're selling on t.v. good luck to ya, hope it's sterling silver and not plated.

no it is plated. i bought it for the age. some peaces are over 200 years old. i know they would hold more value as an antique not the small amount of silver. if it was pure silver i would be missing right now out blowin money fast. i have 365 silver plated peices. but at pure silver it would be over 150,000 dollars so i know im not that lucky lol

do a net search for Hallmarks and check your gear...maybe some of it is wrth money as is due to age..you never know

i was thinking about ebay.....i just dont dont have the funds to start an account like that but i am seeing what i can do with it. i know if i peice it all out i have peices from 1 dollar to 10 dollars so its well worth over a grand it would just take a lot of work and some money to get started to part it out on ebay
